Another red flag, sorry but Lewis cheating by hanging back way more then 10 car lengths to cool Max's tyres down is as bad as Max pushing him wide at the start. They are all as bad as each other.

Well Hamilton gave Max absolutely no room at that corner, but that is his right...

At least the stewards have time to figure it out before the re-start.

They are now playing musical chairs offering where the teams want to start??
And have decided the 10 car length rule does NOT apply in a restart formation lap..... that's just dumb. So they now apply the rules when they like it seems.

What happened to the advantage that Max should have had by not pitting before the first red flag? I don't understand how this is worked out when the race is stopped like this.

Max's advantage was he did not have to pit for new Hards so he did not lose any places - he stayed in First where if he had pitted with the rest, he would have stayed 3rd. And Max lost that advantage when Lewis out-dragged him to the first corner on the first restart.

And another Standing Start...Brace for Mayhem!

I thought there was this concept of maintaining the margin, not just position. Max would have been much further ahead than simply the difference between starting on 1st vs 2nd. Oh well.

I believe the margin only remains during Virtual Safety Cars.

On actual Safety Cars they are allowed to close up. And Red Flags are standing re-starts.

Yes, seems so. Great start by Max. And Lewis got by Ocon quite easily. If the rest of the field can avoid further incidents, then we may get through this race after all . . .

Good, the track needs to get cleaned off. Vettel should also come in, the damage to his car looks pretty significant.

Max is maintaining the margin to Lewis, I don't see how Lewis will be able to pass him for the win, even with DRS . . .

I don't know - the high-speed nature of this track favors the car following in terms of slip-stream and the AMG does look faster in a straight line than the RBR.

On the flip side, Max's Mediums are not being tasked too hard with all these VSCs so that helps him in the corners to gain some space from Lewis before they hit the straights.

Yeah, but Max won't be easy to pass. He has much less to lose than Lewis by playing dirty (what? play dirty?)
