2022-2023 NFL Thread

Good draft. My starting lineup: Patrick Mahomes, Derrick Henry, Joe Mixon, Aaron Jones, Tee Higgins, Marquise Brown, George Kittle, Bills defense and kicker Justin Tucker. My wildcard player is Atlanta's rookie, 8th overall WR Drake London. I hope he turns into another Ja'Marr Chase - though he won't have Joe Burrow throwing to him, unfortunately.

I can relate to the length of time in a job... Same job for me for the past 26 years. Getting close!

Now if only the Cowboys would win it all again... since you know it has been a very long time lol.

Yes, I've noticed that commercial breaks are longer in almost all sporting events. I have a very scientific method: how many "skip" clicks on my remote get me through a commercial break. So all the talk about making a baseball game go faster is just "How do we give the network more time to rake in more money while keeping the broadcast time for a game the same?"

Now, back to the football thread…

There was a point in the game, where there was one play, commercial, player injured, commercial, oh end of the half, commercial, and oh the players are walking still, commercial... I was like FFS can we GET anymore commercials...

Good game, love seeing the Champs get beat. At least my text threads were a little more down to earth...

So is this a good place where I can whine about how hard it is to be a Bears fan? ‘cause it’s hard being a Bears fan. I practically gave up watching last season 😔

Chin up. Bills fans had to wait almost 30 years to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But while everyone says it's QB QB and QB, the real key is the GM and HC. Because not only do you need a QB, but you need the supporting pieces and a manangement team that can put it all together. Bills GM Brandon Beane had patience and made a bunch of moves to get draft picks to move up and take Josh Allen. Plus, they draft really well.

Thanks for the perspective! Definitely agree the core of the issues lie with management. But a solid QB never hurts 😎 I just don’t understand the decisions that are made in that organization 🤬

As for the NFL, if you told me last winter after the SB that I would be sitting down to watch the Browns at the Panthers I would have thought you were crazy. But that is the game I will have on as my main game. I want to see Baker beat the living 💩 out of the Browns. Same with Wilson Monday night.

I would love to see Baker just destroy the Browns.

While I want the Broncos to win, I don't really think either Wilson or the Seahawks treated the other as badly as the Browns treated Baker Mayfield.
 
So turns out the $150M the Packers invested in John Wick… errr, I mean Nicolas Cage… errr, sorry, I mean Aaron Rodgers were a clever choice after all.… not. Against the Vikings! 😂
