Anyone do confidence picks?

Here are mine:

1) Chiefs
2) 49'ers
3) Eagles
4) Bengals

The Chiefs at 1 were easy, the 49er's at 2 is more of "I expect the Cowboys to choke". The last 2 are toss ups which is why they are 3 & 4.

The talking heads on ESPN, NFL, etc are mostly oicking the Bengals. It is a close one, but a lot of disrespect for the Bills and home field, not sure why. They keep tslking abotu how the Bills didn't blwo out the Dolphins, but neither team played great last week.

Chiefs pass defense is doing a pretty poor job so far. If they don't step up, Henne needs to score consistently, if he fails, that's it for the Chiefs. Hoping for 49er vs Chiefs.

NFL ponders taking conference championship games to neutral sites

Mike Florio of PFT is pushing this as a possibility. I don't know if there's any real evidence. I also don't like the idea of not having home field. I think the #1 seeded teams ought to be rewarded for playing so well, with the bye and home field advantage.
they NBC were just blabbing about this now, 59 seconds left in game1
were the 3 seed goes to a neutral sight
Mike TerRico (spell check changed what I typed) spoke too fast to really explain this situation.

ahhh dem Jags played great and tough, and that mistake inside the zone coast the game.
I might follow them from now on, personally I thought they rushed too much passing wise in the 4th 1/4!

Now we wait to hear how bad Mahomes’ injury is. The Chiefs with Henne are a different proposition than the Chiefs with Mahomes, and suddenly the field could be wide open.

For the Bengals v Bills game, i think a lot depends on how much that beat-up O-line can protect Joe Burrow. They need time to make a few of those deep shots to Chase pay off, otherwise I fancy the Bills to take it.

Cowboys v 49ers is a bit of a toss-up, I couldn’t pick a winner although I would like to see the 49ers go through, think they are a more well rounded team.

Both games went pretty much as I expected.

Agreed on Mahomes.

I was expecting a little more from the Giants though...

Ironically, the KC-Jags game was the close one, and Phi-NYG was the blowout.
I didn't think it would be.

But the ankle injury to Mahomes may have deterred the ass whipping some were expecting.

That 98 yd drive by Henne for the TD was pretty impressive.

Depending on Mahomes' injury I still gotta favor the Chiefs, or the Eagles...

But who knows?

Bills/Bengals game will tell us a whole lot today...

Cowboys/Niners winner will be fodder for the Eagles next weekend.

Yes they are, but he is still one of the best backups. Probably could start for a few teams. Really surprised they put Mahomes back in as well as Henne moved the ball.

If he's not fully mobile next week, that's it for them. The guy needs to be able to move and run.

49ers will rise or fall with Purdy. This could be the first time he's really under pressure. If he can deal with it, they'll win this. If he breaks down, it will be a massive loss like the Giants.

As for the Eagles, I want them gone. Not because of the team, but the fans. Philly fans are the worst of worst humanity has ever seen. Imagine they win and even worse win the SB... it'll be chaos again and along the way their fans will probably beat up a few kids and kill a few fans of other teams.

Even if the 49ers lose today, they have done pretty good considering they are down to their 3rd string QB, AKA Mr. Irrelevant.

I'm not surprised the Bengals will win. But the Bills literally did not show up. At home no less. Changes are coming in Buffalo.

The secondary is terrible, OC Dorsey needs to go and a running game needs to be established. The Bills need more than Vonn for pass rush. And a second receiver. Gabe Davis is too inconsistent. And the Bills did NOTHING at the trade deadline. McCaffrey was there for the taking.

What a wasted season.

Wow, I'm really surprised. I thought the Bills were going to win. Yet with that said, they played rather sloppily lately. So much for being picked to go all the way to the super bowl

Yes, of course. But wouldn't that be a great story if they win, move on the the SB and even win that? I think the biggest question is, what's going to happen next season. Will Purdy be back as a starter? I could see him take over.

Isn't that what they're saying every year? They just didn't play very well. Overall they have a great team, but they're not very consistent when it matters.
