I'm surprised there was no penalty as well but still find it hilarious.
I'm glad it wasn't a penalty - They're called the No Fun League far too many times. Its literally game, lets have some fun/enjoyment

The main problem is Saquon had a bazillion touches last year and just isn't the same.
Yeah, that may be alot of it. RBs have a finite shelf life and too many touches drastically shortens their lifespan.
I think there's a number of reasons why the eagles have been struggling - my opinion is that for SB champs, every team ups their games to knock off the reigning champs. The SB hangover is a real thing and finally parity is a real thing in the NFL, though in years past that wasn't something you'd say for the NFC east

So looking back, 20/20 hindsight, the NY Giants may have had a great draft
Time will tell, but they are definitely playing better, but one game does not make for a season. They have some games later in the season that may make or break their season.

Barkley is in his 8th year in the NFL... that's a loooong career. They really should have let him go for the record last year.

Wow, the Jets lose such an ugly game - there can be no denying the fact that at 0-6, Glenn's seat is hot - It has to be. Even with -10 passing yards, Aaron Glenn was still standing behind his QB. I have to believe cooler heads will prevail, and Fields will be benched for their next game.

Cowboys lost - so, its like a Christmas miracle having both of them lose. So much for Jerry trading Parsons to upgrade his rushing defense. The cowboys are ranked dead last in defense, not sure how Eberflus is keeping his job, other then Jerry doesn't like to pay someone not to work.

How did the plowboys ever manage to beat the jeds? :p

The RAIDERS somehow pulled off another win.

Seeing the Patriots already match last year's win total 1/3 of the way through the season was a Coll surprise ... they're not a great team but might sneak backwards into the playoffs somehow. Regardless, enjoying seeing Drake Maye play well and the team doing OK.

What is surprising is that they're in 2nd place in the AFC east. Prior to the start of the season, I was expecting the Jets and Dolphins to be playing a lot better.

Going into the season Tua and McDaniels had everything to prove and everything to lose, so I was expecting more then what we're getting from them.

I'm not a Jets fan, but I thought they built a good team to have a really good bounce back year. I never thought in a million years they'd be sucking this bad. I'm not complaining mind you, its putting a spring in my step and smile on my face :)

When, and if, the Patriots figure out their running game, they will be a serious contender. They looked excellent in all other phases of the game.

Yeah, I thought the Steelers had made a huge mistake by letting Fields go... lol

I also am pleasantly surprised by how well Mack Jones has played for the 49ers.
He did have a couple of picks yesterday but overall; he's done pretty well.

Really thought Raiders were going to lose to Tenn, its rival week!! we might be able to beat KC we always play them tough

I actually liked our chances and expected them to beat the titans.

Geno is only slightly less horrible than Cam right now... lol

Jones is playing for an offensive-minded coach now, compared to the situation in NE (which was mentioned above). Probably hoping to follow in Darnold's footsteps and show he can be a legit starter again. But SF was already putting a lot of faith in a young, rebuilt D, and now having lost both its DE and LB stars for the season, outlook is not good, even when their slate of injured offensive players return.

But, it could be worse, like the deepening soap opera in Miami, with conflicting public statements, and the internal discord coming to light. And if it comes down to a choice, between McDaniel and Tua, who do they stick with? One, or neither? Given his injury history, Tua is likely one bell-ringing hit away from a forced retirement.

Drake Maye MVP? Patriot dynasty return? Yes, that's been the talk with football fans around here. Delusion is strong with many Patriot fans.

Except for Buffalo Bills, all of the wins have been against 1-win or 0-win teams (Dolphins, Panthers, Saints). Their offense is ranked 16 out 32 and 18th in defense. Not exactly super bowl material.

And they lost to the 2 - 4 RAIDERS...

haha - seriously! I don't think these guys are remotely as bad as the early 80s or early 90s teams, but nor would they compete with any of the Brady era teams.

These sorts of overreactions are pretty common (and not just for Pats fans) - I really love reading the overreaction articles every week!

Not bad at all. Good actually. In fact, first place in the NFL East. People need to keep up. Things are ever changing in the NFL. Last year means nothing.

first place in the NFL East.
Technically tied, but beating buffalo they win the tie-breaker.
Lets look at the teams they beat, and this is why MVP and dynasty talk is premature

Of the teams they beat, only a single team has a winning record, the other teams have either no wins, or 1 win. Its less about how good the patriots are and its more about their cake walk of a schedule

Edit: if you look at how their offense is ranked, its smack in the middle of the list - not bad, but not great either, and that ranking is after preforming mediocre against no win teams - with the exception of the Panter's game.

I understand and your point is well taken. Moreover their remaining strength of schedule is weak. But they do not control who they play. They have a chance of compiling a good record and making a run in the playoffs if they continue to develop, play well and peak at the right time. So there are reasons to be optimistic.

Are they a Brady-level dynasty? Of course not. That talk, if there is any, is premature no doubt.

Steelers vs Bengals.....very entertaining game to watch.

Cleveland management might be wondering if they've made yet another mistake

The Clowns are snake bitten when comes to QB. They selected 5 QB in the first round. 4 are bust. They traded away their 1st round pick to Houston, who promptly selected DeShaun Watson. They traded 4 first round pick for the guy they could have picked. Insult to injury, he stunk it up as their QB. They picked Mayfield number one overall, only to see another QB in the same draft class--Jackson--play lights out. They traded Mayfield who's playing at an MVP level this year. Talk about your Keystone Kops level of incompetence.
