Steelers and Ravens play again next week....If the Ravens win, how will the tie breaker work for the AFC North playoff spot?
If the Ravens win, they win the Division record tie break. Ravens would be 4-2, Steelers would be 3-3.

As a Texans fan, I'm rooting for the Steelers. King Henry is always a handful for the Texans, especially back when he was a Titans. He regularly runs for 100-150 yards in every meeting.

hmmm Maybe not this season? That texan D is pretty stout.

Bears/Niners was a really good game!

Pretty wild to think that SF could claim the #1 seed if they beat Seattle next week. And play every game, including the SB, at home if they make it that far.

But this year, parity rules, so you're only as good as your last game, more than usual.

There's a Stanford econ professor who studies sports infrastructure projects. Most of the time, the benefit projections are wildly optimistic, and the results are bad for the public/municipalities.

Ask the taxpayers in the Raiders' old haunt how much it cost, and whether it was worth it to lure the team back to Oakland.

International competitions like the Olympics are seeing fewer bidders, between those who think they can do it on the cheap(er) by utilizing existing venues, or have the subsidies from sportwashing governments.

Chuck D was right.

I want a CHI/NE SB ... and revenge for Steve Grogan!!
Steve Grogan doesn't deserve any revenge, due to his super power to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The gods of Karma gave Grogan his just reward. If you contacted Grogan's parents with a Ouija board even they wouldn't have a grudge. The only people entitled to revenge in relation to Steve Grogan are those who bought tickets to watch him play.

The only thing in this universe that was an injustice in that SB was Ditka being a giddy moron and not letting Walter Payton get a TD because he was too busy clowning around and letting The Fridge score.

The only thing more embarrassing in the 1985 post season than the NE performance in the SB was those of the teams that lost to NE and allowed them to get there in the first place:
Patriots @ Jets (26-14)
Patriots @ RAIDERS (27-20)
Patriots @ Dolphins (31-14)

How many people can name a player on that NE team other than Grogan? I remember Eason as a "just as sucky" QB. I just looked up the team on Pro Football Reference (great site). I saw the names of 3 other leading players and couldn't remember their first names after seeing the last. When I click on them, 2 rang bells and the RB still didn't. Meh. I grew up in NE around that time and the only thing consistent about the Patriots was their ability to screw the pooch at the end of a game.

Watching the Steelers losing to the lowly Browns with the most miserable professional athlete Aaron Rogers at the helm steering the ship but blaming everyone else based on his body language is (chef’s kiss 👌)
Aaron Rogers worked out about as well for the Steelers as I expected, given his standout performance(s) with the Jets over the previous 2 years.

Too bad he didn't get immunized against sucking. I wonder if his ego will allow him to realize he doesn't have it anymore.

Was Craig James on that team?

Had to look - Stanley Morgan, Irving Fryar, Hannah, Tony Franklin - I do remember these guys though.

There are few non-rapist NFL players in history I hate as much as Rogers. He is absolutely a great athlete - he absolutely earned Super Bowl MVP in 2011 with an amazing performance. BUT he is ALSO responsible for their constant disappearing in the playoffs. He puts up numbers that get him MVP trophies that ensure HoF ... but at least two of those were pretty bogus. Him getting MVP in the year Brady jumped to Tampa, had 6 more touchdowns and 1200 more yards is just laughable. That was the clear sign it was fixed and someone wasy paying to build the HoF case ... because otherwise there is no justification for Rogers before Eli.

Well I actually lugged trays of sodas in Schaeffer Stadium for three seasons between 1980 - 82 (none of us were 16 and we got paid cash, um ...) So I DO remember most of those terrible, awful teams.

The 1978 Pats were the team that was a tragic disappointment in terms of 'snatching defeat from the jaws of victory' IMO! The 1985 team? Ugh - watching them stumble and back their way undeservingly into the Super Bowl was wild. What happened was what everyone knew would happen ... but perhaps even worse.

He's gotten them into the playoff position/fight for the last spot...

I'm not a big fan either but he's done just enough so far...

At retirement, the Patriots all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns was Steve Grogan ... not Jim Plunket or Babe Parilli (two other reknown Patriot QBs). So, either you never saw Steve Grogan play or you are confusing him with someone else.

Least expensive game: Cowboys @ Giants

Most expensive game: Ravens @ Steelers

Or maybe that should read, "they've carried him into the playoff/fight for the last spot..."

I suspect he expected that might be his only way to go out with a playoff appearance
