Steve Grogan doesn't deserve any revenge, due to his super power to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The gods of Karma gave Grogan his just reward. If you contacted Grogan's parents with a Ouija board even they wouldn't have a grudge. The only people entitled to revenge in relation to Steve Grogan are those who bought tickets to watch him play.
The only thing in this universe that was an injustice in that SB was Ditka being a giddy moron and not letting Walter Payton get a TD because he was too busy clowning around and letting The Fridge score.
The only thing more embarrassing in the 1985 post season than the NE performance in the SB was those of the teams that lost to NE and allowed them to get there in the first place:
Patriots @ Jets (26-14)
Patriots @
RAIDERS (27-20)
Patriots @ Dolphins (31-14)
How many people can name a player on that NE team other than Grogan? I remember Eason as a "just as sucky" QB. I just looked up the team on
Pro Football Reference (great site). I saw the names of 3 other leading players and couldn't remember their first names after seeing the last. When I click on them, 2 rang bells and the RB still didn't. Meh. I grew up in NE around that time and the only thing consistent about the Patriots was their ability to screw the pooch at the end of a game.
