Looks like Grant Undinski has pulled his name from consideration for the Brown's head coaching job. This one is particularly painful, because he was the person that the browns were targeting. He's still in the hunt for the Bill's HC job. He just signed an extension with the Jags, and he'll get a big raise if he doesn't get the Bills job

Doubtful it will be a defensive battle. The Seahawks will be the first functional offense the Patriots face during the post season. With the Chargers it was a non-existent O-line. With the Texans, a QB who went full derp (2x in 2 weeks), With the Broncos, a below average QB2. We saw how Stidham played when he was in New England.😑 Weather kept the game close as it dropped Maye's game to near Stidham level.😖

I don't see the SB being a defensive battle. The weather shouldn't be a factor, so Maye should be close to regular season form. Hopefully. Seattle's Offense is loaded with play makers. So as long as Darnold doesn't turn into a pumpkin, (he hasn't yet, knock on my mother-in-law's head🤭) it should be a fairly high scoring game. The losers scoring in the 20's.

I think it will be a pretty exciting game.

Patriots are absolutely on fire and Drake Maye is having an MVP season.

Facts are facts. The Patriots and Drake Maye faced the toughest path to the Super Bowl in playoff history beating three of the NFL's top five defenses to get to the Super Bowl: (1) Texans, (2) Broncos, and (5) Chargers. They are doing something right in New England.
Rather, the Patriots' defense is the best and most underrated in the NFL. We love being underdog as we've always been. Neutrals love us.

Who are you rooting for?

Looks like Jim Schwartz is now the odds on favorite to become the next Browns coach - mostly, because everyone else has asked not to be hired.

A defensive coach, who has to find a really good OC, and deal with a mediocre QB that has too many off the field distractions

personally i'm burnt out over these team sports and will not watch the SB
hopefully I can take next season off from watching as well.
the entire NFLs package reeks of evil
from betting, not using tech on important plays and horrible announcing has taken a toll on my soul.
what left of that.......

I can no longer tolerate Smith*, pictured on the left or "mad dog", pictured on the right.

Jeff Saturday, the one in the middle I do like and respect.

And this whole firing McDermott* fiasco is ridiculous.

The actual clip:

* Ironically he's correct about this mess.
I can't tolerate either one of those clowns either.

1) Smith is the worst at the NFL, it is the subject he knows the least, and in general his entire viewpoint is either annoying, ignorant or a combination of the two.

2) Mad Dog Russo. Before I came down to Houston (1998) I lived in Stamford CT, and Mike (Francesa) and the Mad Dog was the afternoon sports radio on WFAN, NY. Francesa now sounds senile and Russo was always whiney, strongly opinionated and annoying, like a yapping Chihuahua (with a hideous NY accent).

Saturday has always been very good.

doesn't seem like a long term solution given McCarthy's age....maybe they're hoping that Rodgers will return to play for McCarthy.....which also doesn't seem like a long term solution
I think this is exactly it. This decision has most intelligent Steelers fans heaving.

Its safe to say that is the sentiment to everyone outside of Massachusetts.
Or at least FROM outside MA. I'm in upstate NY now, but being born in Boston, working lugging sodas at Patriots games from 14 - 16, living in the Boston suburbs until in my 40s ... safe to say we're rooting Patriots 🙂

I reached that point before the 2025/2026 season started, you’ve stated it very well and I’d add the overall violence of the sport? Grown men crunching into each other over time has seemed less like a playful activity, and more something a bit brutal. It takes a huge toll on the bodies of those who participate too.

I’ll be sleeping when the Super Bowl is played, and will catch up on the result in the morning.

I really think that the game is less violent than it's ever been with all the rule changes. I have been watching NFL football for a very long time and while the bodies are bigger, faster and more athletic, the league itself seems to no longer promote the violent nature of the sport as in years past.

I saw a few games from 2015-2023 maybe 3 a year over someone's home or that big bronco game.
this year I went too close to the schedule.

as far as violence, the NFLs did tame the sport a bit but still a "treacherous" activity
even the lame kick backs. players were injured on some plays this season.

Being a Pro Bowler just lost all value in my eye. They add Shedeur to the AFC's roster. Wut? Sanders more worthy of a Pro Bowl nod this year than T-Law? A guy who threw more picks (10) than TD (7) is a Pro Bowler?

A lot of those things have lost their luster when you realize they are popularity contests. Reg Season MVP is absolutely one - definitely feel it is being used to ensure certain people make Hall of Fame and others do not.
