Pretty much--it was two one-hour episodes. It'll be on one hour earlier than it usually is in your time zone. You have shows on at "normal" times in California, right?

It is usually on at 9pm PST, so i am assuming it will start at 8pm PST.

give more hints... must know more!

Heres the only thing I will say, most shows don't affect me but tonight's episode did.

I usually find 24 kinda over rated, but the end of tonights episode was so good.
It was the shock value, you knew what was gonna happen but too see it was so riveting.

Ok one more hour and we can discuss. So much to go over too.

Ok I assume that everyone has watched as its now 10 pm west coast.

Where to begin, Kim returns it was good too see her again and the tension between her and jack was huge, We found out the connection between "Rudys" sister and the reason why he was robed. The best ending in 24 history really speaks for itself.

and thats my 2,000th post.

HOW COULD THEY KILL EDGAR!!!!!!??????

Edgar was awesome! :(

And Tony???????? :( :( And Michelle!???

That is if Henderson makes it that long, I bet we see Kim help out at CTU since half of the people there didn't survive.

Henderson (I keep forgetting who that is--I think of him as Robocop) should see what has happened and redeem himself by telling Jack what he needs to know and then going into the exposed part of CTU to shut off the canister, or the ventillation system, or whatever it is that one person will allegedly have to give their life to accomplish next week. Okay, so that will only happen in the naïve fantasy world in my head.

I can't believe they killed Edgar! I love Edgar! :(

That was seriously terrifying, though, to watch the CTU lockdown and see the people who got stuck on the outside. Nice to see that Chloe cares a little.

When the canister was put in CTU I immediately thought, "hasn't Jack learned to not bring Kim to CTU?" Seriously.

Thought it was awesome when Jack shot Henderson's wife, then called Chloe for an ambulance saying she'd "been shot."

I can't wait til Tony tortures Henderson and actually gets him to talk. Avenge Michelle, Tony, avenge her!

And we still have what 28 canisters to go

24 is the one show that no one is safe on. Thats what makes it so good. On the preview they implied that someone need to die to put out the gas I would assume that it will be tony because he has less a of a reason to live.

here's what i think happens, based off of the type of things that happened from previous seasons:

they save edgar somehow, like they did tony when he was shot right in the neck at the mall in a previous season

henderson dies and gives up no information and jack gets arrested for "cruel and unusual punishment" and again becomes a fugitive...and right when los angeles falls into martial law and all the cops are out lookin for jack

so jack, all alone like usual, the rogue cop or "michael chicklis with hair" ;), has to solve this thing all by himself (again) while the authorities and the bad guys are out trying to catch him and he he has to catch these nerve gas killers before they strike again

jack bauer does his best work when all parties involved are working against him!!

....

ok, and then here's my fantasy take on finale of the season...remember kim bauer hooked up with a psychologist and she was taken care of by the henderson's? well, they brainwashed her and she too believes somehow the terrorists are the best bet for america, and for cheap, central asian oil for all us suv drivers ;)

jack gets all the terrorists, who never get to attack russia, and when they are down to the last suicidal man, who takes poison to kill himself and reverts to plan "b" as he sends a text message to the leader of plan "b"

the leader of plan "b", while we see the back of his head says he will take over the cannisters...the camera zooms in on the back of his head...and he turns around...it's ramon salazar...:56, :57, :58, :59, :00

Last night's episodes were amazing! Now THIS is why I watch 24. Up until now it was growing sort of lackluster, but not anymore. I see potential. Excellent curveball thrown in by the writers.

Sort of OT...Jack Bauer's cell phone ring...anyone know where I could get that? It's sort of a cool, satellite type ringing. Anyone recognize it/have it? Thanks!

well, lets just say thats the first time ive cried watching tv since the lion king :'(

Ditto. I was even sad about it when I woke up this morning. I do have to say that was one of the best episodes I've seen in a while. I started it late: about 8:40, but thank God for DVR.:D

Man that was some good old fashioned awesome 24. This is the one thing that 24 excels at more than any other TV show, killing off its own characters. :D It's done so tastefully, so tactfully and with a lot of sensitivity as well. I'll second that it was nice to see how much Chloe actually cared for Edgar.

24 is one of those shows that sucks you in even tho you know its not real you know that it could happen and the acting is so real and the writing so realistic that you forget you are watching a TV show. When Curtis was running through the hospital with the canister I was on edge wondering if he will get it to the containment unit in time. Knowing that Edgar was in CTU somewhere when they sealed the rooms was in the back of your mind but you hoped that maybe he would get out somehow just added to the suspense. Watching people try to get into the room then collapse right outside made your heart break, then when you see Edgar its like the 24 clock stood still and the lack of monologue in the final seconds was painful to watch. Did anyone notice how the clock stopped ticking at the end as the seconds passed. The cold ending left me sitting there not knowing what to say. This show brings back the real meaning of good television and Im sure that the water cooler talk all morning was about Edgar.

I pointed that out when it happened last night - thought it was interesting that they chose to do that. I knew someone was going to get offed, but somehow I thought it was going to be Chloe. Edgar took me by surprise.

They do that a lot on 24, atleast when they kill of an important character that was killed off.

When Jacks wife died at the end of Season 1, the clock was silent.

*I THINK* they did it in Season 2 when George Mason flew the airplane with the nuke on it into the desert

When Ryan Chapelle was killed in the train yard in Season 3 - and all you could hear was a train blowing in the distance.

Season 2 ended with Palmers heart beat and breathing matching up to the tone of the clock.

And with Edgars death, all you heard was a synth from the note played before.

Was it just me or did Kim look like crap...

They need to get her back up to hotness ...

Edgar's dead, just in time for Sopranos..

One thing I love about 24 is that it doesn't throw reruns at you all the time like Lost and CSi...you think it's a new episode and then...oh...crap..

24 is either on, or it's not..if it's on it's a new one..

Speaking of which, did I hear correctly that the next new episode will be 5/20?
