poor edgar:( :( anyway i thought the 2hr speical was aweosme. I loved when jack shot that guys wife in the leg. I am glad they shot lynns sister:D

hmmmm

so again, if chloe can activate all the seal for the rooms ... then why can't she turn off that fan ... maybe hector should have done something. CTU used to have these closets ... that had like tons of tac supplies. Where did these closets go. Remember, the suicide caps? all the darts jack uses to shoot his supervisor? ... inconsistency

but this brings me to my golden rule, that would basically end 24 if everyone followed them :)

No matter what a terrorist promises you (your life, money, girls, cars, planes, or a high level government position) never comply because they're just going to kill you ... they're terrorists!

That being said, one of my family members foresaw the significance of the keycard ( I glossed over it at first) ...
I think henderson might be bad but he might not know anything or he took a chemical to counteract the truth serum.

Speaking of which, did I hear correctly that the next new episode will be 5/20?
No, there will be new episodes through May.
Prison Break and 24 will be non stop now starting March 20.

And we still have what 28 canisters to go

24 is the one show that no one is safe on. Thats what makes it so good. On the preview they implied that someone need to die to put out the gas I would assume that it will be tony because he has less a of a reason to live.

16, they started with 19. 1 in the mall, 1 in CTU, and 1 in the hospital.

Wow that snorefest finally picked up again! Those first 10 minutes of 24 was exciting. Boring afterwards until yesterday's two hours. That was actually good. :)

Can you see Tony breaking the seal where ever he is to kill henderson (revenge) and himself (no more reason to live)? I loved last night's episodes. Let's hope they keep the intensity up like that.

I kind of thought that or perhaps tony will be interrogating him

Mistake. They had 20, they had 19 after the mall, 18 after the hospital, and now 17 after CTU.

*I THINK* they did it in Season 2 when George Mason flew the airplane with the nuke on it into the desert

When Ryan Chapelle was killed in the train yard in Season 3 - and all you could hear was a train blowing in the distance.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they did the silent clock when Chapelle died. I get chills when they do the silent clock, it's a nice lil tribute to the character and you know they're really dead. (Poor Edgar.)

I know it didn't happen at the end of the episode, but in the first commercial break of this season, was there a silent clock after Palmer/Michelle died? I can't remember... possibly not because it didn't happen right before a clock would appear, but they definitely would have been worthy of a silent clock.

There wasn't a silent clock. I remember that because I had a conversation with a friends right after the episode about how they didn't get a silent clock.

I'm pretty sure they try and use the silent clock only once a season. It didn't get used at all during season 4 though. The best silent clock was at the end of the first season. It was such a good way to end the show. I remember just sitting staring after that thinking 'wow'.

Yeah, I didn't remember one.. I think I was a little surprised, but then again it was right at the beginning of the season and I was shocked by what had actually happened. I think the silent clock is usually used when someone has sacrificed themself - a la Mason and Chappelle. (Or if they stumble into the back rooms of CTU at the wrong time... The one time Edgar *did* have time for something, he gets killed.)

Hey... go figure, Wikipedia has everything: silent clock

Edit to add: I think my favorite no-ticks was the end of Season 2. I watched most of season 1 but I wasn't as rabid about it then. I was really into season 2, and it was tough because it was such a great cliffhanger. You got Jack saving the day, the happy speech, you figure things will go back to normal and then bam, you have no idea if Palmer will live or die. Set up any number of possibilities for the next season.

I thought Henerson(RoboCop) was put in the same room as Tony, but Tony hasn't seen him yet because there is a curtain between them. Yeah, if some one is going to die next episode it would be Tony "I've got nothing left to live for" Almeida. But that would be predictable. The unexpected would be one of the female cast members dying.

I just watched it again and there was a silent clock ... perhaps your brain inserted the ticking sound .

I was referring to the first episode of the season when Michelle died. I know there was a silent clock for edgar.

ahhhh ok yeah I was like ummm I'm pretty sure! but yeah I don't know its not a tool for the beginning of the season I don't think, it wouldn't carry as much impact.

They seem to be killing all of the terrorists this season as opposed to trying to interrogate them.

OT, but what about that X-men 3 commercial?

Can't wait til that comes out. Looks like Beast is going to be added to the cast.

Did you happen to recognize the actor portraying beast? Believe it or not... Kelsey Grammer

It was harder to tell in the teaser trailer that came out a few months ago, because he didn't speak. I find he has a very distinctive voice. X3 looks pretty awesome I must say, even without Mr. Singer at the helm.

well, with so-so movies to his credit as far as box office sales, it's about time he goes for a big paycheck for a blockbuster which this movie most definitely will be...even if it sucks

i was talking with a movie buff last night about actors and directors who sell out like ben affleck and steven spielberg, and while he didn't like it for artistic reasons, i told him that i can't blame them for taking the opportunity to score big

but i do have a lot of respect for johnny depp who has mostly stuck with relatively low budget movies and i have no doubt he has probably been handed scripts for mega-budget movies like titanic and armageddon

it's refreshing when someone who is mostly in blockbusters, like tom cruise, chooses a movie like magnolia where he shined as an actor...but he probably made much more for a dog like war of the worlds (which i didn't mind in concept but disliked in spielbergian execution)

...When Curtis was running through the hospital with the canister I was on edge wondering if he will get it to the containment unit in time...

Which raised the question, at least in my mind, Why don't they have a portable containment unit (sort of a large ziplock bag) that they could place over/around the canister to eliminate the risk.

definatly some of the best 24 episodes i've seen

i think jack will get out of the room, and try to get to edger, maybe give him a shot of whatever they were giving people in the mall.. and noone is talking about lynn, it didn't show him get out, so he must be dead?

One thing that's still bothering me is how a terrorist managed to bring nerve gas into CTU (counter TERRORIST unit!). They might have addressed that and I just didn't notice so could someone fill me in here? I think they have better security at hockey games.

lynn's keycard was used, and reprogrammed, the seurity guard noticed the executive access privaleges, but didn't do anything about it. he was stupid.

Shouldn't CTU have some sort or chemical sniffer that can detect if an agent is brought inside.
