Well, I have a feeling the uniformity issues will never be resolved. I've been doing a little monitor research, and found something.
Someone in this thread (See Thread) mentioned they had tried THREE of the 24 inch LED cinema displays...and never got one with uniform color. That means
A) This problem has existed for some time
B) Apple has known about it all the time
C) Since it is still present in Apple products, they really must not care.
Let's think about this...if the LED monitors from June had this issue, Apple has had months and months to sort out the issues on those products. One would easily assume these QC measures would apply to the nearly identical iMac monitors. Instead, problems are just as prevalent on these products and it is now nearly 2010. This can only mean that Apple will probably NEVER fix the QC issues on this machine, or that the tech in the monitors prevent them from ever being 100%.
Now the problem is, if I want desktop power but refuse to buy the currently way overpriced Mac Pro...then what the heck Apple?
