27" Delivery time thread.

Got Mine

Got my iMac a day early. Apparently Apple did some kind of priority overnight and I missed the email they sent out regarding the change. Shipped 17th got it today at 10am. Once again though I still have not been charged for the computer. I have it sitting on my desk with no withdrawal from my bank acct by apple.
 
iMac Delivered

My iMac was delivered today. I order at 9:30am PST on 11/30. It shipped yesterday from Shanghai and arrived this afternoon in Oregon.

Now I'm thinking there's not so much of a chance I'll have it by Friday. Which means I probably won't be able to come pick it up from my office until the 26th, or else I'll have to have FedEx redirect it to my home.

I just got off the phone with a very nice Apple rep who stated that orders are processed over the weekend. Also, for 27" iMac BTO orders in the Dec 31 - Jan 7 range, the rep also stated that he expects our orders to go into the preparing to ship stage anytime between today and at the latest Dec 24, and then it will either ship out on Mon, Dec 24, Wed, Dec 26, or Thurs, Dec 27 at the latest.

Anyone else's iMac go through Anchorage AK? How long should I expect it to take to get to LA, CA? It's just regular UPS. Thanks!

That sounds hopeful; you may still get it before Christmas. When did you place your order?

I ordered a BTO Nov 30th - 6pm cst...and am in the Dec 31-Jan 7 range and was switched to "prepared for shipment" last night about 6pm......I'm just curious as to how long people are staying in "prepared for shipment" stage before it goes to "shipped"? Anyone heard how long the 'prepared for shpmnt' stage usually lasts?

Mine lasted about 24 hours...I've heard others only waited 12.

wow, Fedex is fast! mine shipped out yesterday and arrived at 9:30 this morning. this should give you guys hope that you could get yours before the weekend. good luck to everyone, it has been fun.
 
where did the time go?

Couple hours playing with my new toy and it seems like minutes. I am using it now or I wouldn't be able to tear myself away to do this.

Everything seems great so far. The packaging was outstanding. Even UPS proof. The outer box has strategically placing sponging that protects the inner Apple box which protects the computer perfectly.

I am finding this keyboard very easy to type on despite it's small size. Much easier than my full-size Dell wireless keyboard.

Well, as many have said already..it is worth the wait!

Good luck everyone. I will check back in case anyone has any general questions about the delivery. I am very happy with it.
 
Well mine is on the plane and headed to Louisville :D should land about 12:30 and make it to my door around 3:30 tomorrow.:)

Mine switched to "Preparing for Shipment" about 25 or 26 hours ago, and it is still in that status as of now.
 
My mac is currently traveling between Louisville and Washington-Dulles. It shipped on 12/13 and will finally get here on 12/19. UPS sucks. It was in China for days before heading to AK and then Louisville for 2 days on a customs hold. The hold was removed just in time to miss the flight out that would have enabled delivery today. Meanwhile FedEx is delivering in 2 days and I haven't seen one customs hold on a FedEx order.

Something else I am wondering.....is Apple shipping these ALL out express...or if I chose standard...will it come standard? I remember some talk on the day I purchased...lots of people thought Apple may send these all express....as they did the MBP months ago.
Still in 'prepared for shipment' (for about 26 hours now).
 
Since my cancel button missing yesterdat

Finally my order status just changed to Preparing to shipment !!

Ordered on 1st December 9PM Singapore time.

wow !
