Congratulations! Unfortunately I am still in the "ordered on 11/30 and still processing even though others who place orders after me are getting their machines" club.

Thanks petraidm, believe me I know the feeling. Same was happening to me. I wasn't expecting my order to move beyond "Processing"until over the weekend maybe. It was very discouraging as you mentioned to see orders place later than the Nov/30th date, being prepared to ship and in some cases had already shipped.

It will happen very soon.... Hang in there, I hear the wait will be worth it

My iMac just shipped via FedEx (43 hours in "preparing for shipment", for those still waiting to ship). Right now it's scheduled for delivery on Monday, 12/24, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Friday. If it doesn't look like Friday, I'll call and see if I can have it redirected to my house. But I REALLY hope it's Friday.

My order has been on "Preparing for shipping" for over 50 hours.

Has this happened to one of you?

I don't know what to make of it. I thought it lasted around 24 hours before switching to "Shipped"...

Try 456hrs 19 days, going from "Processing Order" to "Preparing for Shipment" and it hasn't officially shipped yet! Hang on for a long ride, it's worth the wait I hear.

Same here! I just got the shipping notification, with FedEx delivery on Monday. I'm hoping it'll actually be Friday, too.

Mine is now shipped with ups and apple says delivery tomorrow. I think they must be slower in updating your progress than they actually are. I sure hope it does arrive tommorrow but if not Friday would be fine# I am in Vancouver so hopefully mine won't go into any states other than Alaska for routing.

When mine shipped, I received the email notice from Apple ~ 22:30 Tuesday night. The FedEx track had it on the FDX90 flight out of Shanghai the evening of 12/12 around 22:52 local Shanghai time. It was in Redding, CA @ 09:12, December 13, 2012; and on a FedEx vehicle, out for delivery, and at my door in Mt Shasta @ 15:56 Thursday.

Apple was projecting Delivery for 12/17, FedEx 12/14.

I'm thinking that you're going to be ogling your iMac before sundown Friday.

Who knows, maybe they pull out all the stops and you get it tomorrow.

Got mine today! So far super happy with it.
(3,2 GHz i5 w/1TB Fusion, 675MX)

Estimated Delivery Date when I placed the order was 28 Dec to 4 Jan. Changed to Delivery by Dec 21 when it shipped on the 14th, and got delivered today (by TNT) on the 19th, so good news all the way.

Good luck to macuserpl and all you other guys who are still waiting. It is going to be weird not checking this thread and my order status 20 times a day . . .

I miss frantically checking this thread for updates and tracking flights

I don't know if we think that, but I like it! I haven't been following the posts too much where people were tracking the flights, because I was so far behind that stage. But now... Where do you look up the FedEx flights? I know there's a link about 10-20 pages back.

Just did a search and found the flight tracker. Hope that's the one, since it's almost there! If it is truly on that flight, then I think Friday is very likely. I'm near SF, so it's not too far. Not sure what the closest hub is for my area. Oakland?

That does seem a little long. Hopefully as FedEx updates the status, the date will change to something a little sooner.

Oh - looks like everything goes through Memphis, for customs I guess. So it looks like it will pass me to go to Memphis, then have to turn around and come back to California.

I5 3.2, 8GB RAM, 1TB Fusion, 680MX, Trackpad. Ordered 8pm Nov. 30 with projected delivery date given as Dec. 31 - Jan. 7. Looks like Apple's going to beat their projection by 1-2 weeks. It's going to be a very merry Christmas indeed!

I think so too. My hypothesis will be proven if we can see an arrival scan in Alaska in the next 4 hours on our tracking - before the same plane continues to Memphis.

According to FedEx, mine went from Shanghai to Anchorage to Oakland; no other stops. And was delivered 2 days earlier than the FedEx estimated date.

I'm also in the Bay Area. Hopefully you'll have the same luck!

Oooo - that would be awesome! I didn't see a flight to Oakland in the FedEx flights, but bay area iMacs could be hitching a ride on different flights.
