I used the education discount along with 3 giftcards, with the specs I7/8gb/3TBFusion/680.
I got my confirmation email at 11:58 PST on 11/29. After staring at processing, it finally went into preparing for shipment sometime last night after 2am PST.

At least there's some hope! :/

Merge in Transit GB this is due to Apple Care
Order Confirmation delivery was Jan 2nd or 3rd
Shipment Notification changed it to 28th of Dec

I have tracked my order via
http://www.expeditors.com/
using the the Delivery Reference Number.

Hoping my order status will change again once UPS gets it.
Due to UPS holidays over Christmas the free Express shipping that the US/Canadians are getting would be great.
When I called Apple they said it will only be a one day difference and wouldn't entertain the free express. I have used the UPS Calculator https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request?...WT.svl=PNRO_L1
The express would be shipping the 23rd receiving the 24th while standard is the 27th due to holidays.
Im delighted its going to be here before or on the 28th but hoping I get it the 24th

New unboxing comparing 2011 vs 2012 he normally does an initial impressions within hours. Mark in this video has a 2009 i7 looking forward to seeing his opinion on Fusion drive and screen comparison http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N65JLMOcv9w

Finally!

I'm in the 5-minute club (placed order in the first 5 mins) and it finally went from processing to prep for ship.

Come on UPS give me something to look at!

My BTO 27" hasn't been updated on UPS' site since stating it departed Alaska 2 days ago! I just wish I could get some sort of update on it. I'm still stunned their are no gaming benchmarks for the 680MX yet... The wait for new Apple hardware is always brutal. I need a xanax

According to the UPS Tracking Website the last tracking information is:

Last Location:
Departed - Anchorage, AK, United States, Tuesday, 12/11/2012

It's now Thursday and no update. I have been scouring the internet and have not seen any news of a UPS plane crash.

Maybe they went on strike.

Call UPS and see if they'll give you more up to date information.

I'm in that same group too and would love to know what's up.

Wasted Effort

Well, I finally decided to get up the gumption to call Apple and ask if there was a problem with my order, and as expected, it didn't provide any additional helpful information. She just kept telling me everything is on track and that mine probably wasn't shipping yet because it was BTO and everyone else whose orders have shipped probably ordered basic models. We all know that's not correct. I did mention that I knew of someone with the exact same configuration as me whose order shipped on Tuesday. She was very nice, but basically just said nothing's wrong with your order, you should have it sometime in the delivery window (Dec. 21-28).

I did know there was nothing wrong with my order (other than Apple must hate me), and I kind of knew she wouldn't be able to do anything or tell me anything new, but I felt better just letting them know I was disappointed. However, my throat is a little sore, and she could probably barely even hear me, so I don't think I sounded terribly indignant. I probably just sounded confused.

they obviously have some issues with the tracking website.
I am subscribed to UPS My Choice, and received the email notification for tomorrow's delivery. The website though still give me the old update with Monday delivery.

I've found that with UPS, it often shows that a package shipped, and then the website doesn't update again until it arrives. It's better than when I order iPhones from AT&T for work though. I routinely receive the shipping notification a week after I've received my order.

Thinking about calling again to see if I can get any more info on the shipping process and if I can upgrade my shipping, though I know nothing will probably come of it,

At least she didn't tell me that people on MacRumors were lying about their orders, like the CSRs were telling other people. She clearly believed me but didn't have any information to give me about why.

When I signed up for mychoice around 11:30 last night, I never got the confirmation email for tomorrow's delivery, so I called ups this morning. The rep told me that she wasn't sure about the mychoice issue, but confirmed that it will still be delivered tomorrow. Would have still liked that email confirmation though, but hopefully the only reason I didn't get it is, that I had just signed up.

Edit: the reason for not getting the MyChoice notification was that Apple had input my address differently, than how I registered for MyChoice. It's the same address, but the format was slightly different. I had actually suspected something like that last night and was trying to change the MyChoice address to what Apple had used, which technically isn't possible. Hence, the computer's program could not match the delivery to me and I did not receive a notification. But like I said, fortunately the friendly reps on the hotline could confirm that the shipment is indeed scheduled for the 14th now.

UPS Tracking

I'd be interested in comparing notes with others that are receiving iMacs via UPS. As you can see, my iMac spent 48 hours grounded in Shanghai before the Departure Scan.

What does your UPS tracking progress look like?

(Can't wait until Monday!)

Pretty much the same as yours, give or take a few minutes.

Edit: sorry, lack of sleep has my mind playing tricks on me - mine departed Anchorage on the 11th.

I called UPS to see if perhaps I might get lucky and have mine delivered tomorrow, but they confirmed that it is on for the 17th. Frustrating since it could have easily been delivered to be already but they had it sit in Shanghai for awhile, and now is sitting either in Anchorage or in Louisville for awhile..

Shanghai, China 12/12/2012 5:12 A.M. Departure Scan

What state are you located in and what is the last update on the ups site for you?
