Thank God, Edry. Mine shipped yesterday but I've been checking the forum at this point, mostly to see your status. This was a terrible injustice.

What is your shipping type?
My shipping was 2-3 days. I hope it get shipped tomorrow so I can get it in time for my birthday on Tuesday. That'd be nice.

I'd be interested in comparing notes with others that are receiving iMacs via UPS. As you can see, my iMac spent 48 hours grounded in Shanghai before the Departure Scan.

What does your UPS tracking progress look like?

(Can't wait until Monday!)

My tracking looks just like yours. Yesterday it said delivery on tues 18th but today it changed to Monday.

Just got an update (for those with UPS stuck in Alaska since 12/11/2012 912pm last update).

My wife uncle, 30 plus years at UPS has been following my package for me since he has a lot more info and this is what he just texted me,

"I'm frustrated. Your mac was part of a 97 piece consolidated shipment. It won't be "broken" until the final delivery hub. But I don't know where it is now"

Than I asked him any chance for Friday delivery in Orlando.

And he responded, "It would have to be processed in Orlando by 0200 Friday morning to make the shuttle to Longwood-Sanford.. so we will know late tonight or early tomorrow, but I'm betting no delivery for Friday"

Since mine is in this batch and is going to Pasco County, Florida, this is very disappointing to hear.

so mine just change to "Preparing for Shipment"!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!! SERIOUSLY. Im happy but at the same time im still a little upset because some people order after me and they already got theirs.. its just not fair and just not a good way of doing things... oh well Thanks again i still cant believe it.

YAY! Edry!! :):):):):):):)

Why is it that some people have FedEx then some have UPS? Does it have to do with if we were so called "expedited" or whatever?

I'm being sent via FedEx on 2-3 Day delivery.

FedEx is the preferred method of delivery especially in major metro areas. UPS is just so swamp and I don't think is handling the holiday shipping load as well as FedEx.

Plus I know for fact that Apple pays FedEx a but load of money to get packages delivered. Even my iPad mini with FedEx had special Saturday delivery in case Friday delivery was missed.

And here's more scoop for those in Orlando hub,

My wife uncle just texted me,
"I called the Orlando hub, they told me they did not have any dated consolidated shipments in the building...
It means that if it is, its via an untrackable modality, like a contract carrier."

That's why we haven't gotten updates. Freaking UPS is using contractors for final leg to save money and we can't get updates where package is.

I ordered at 11am on 11/30 ... no status change at all.

Anyone know if things change over night in China, or if anything happens on the weekend?

Being Shipped as of Dec 13, FED EX, due to house on December 18th :D

IPAD shipped as of Dec 13, FEX EX due to house on tomorrow Dec 14th...YEAH..

It's a double hitter,,,,

Look at my post. UPS may be using contractor and that's why no further updates cause it may currently be untrackable.

Mine was on the same Anchorage Departure, but that was the last entry in the tracking progress ... no arrival scan at all ... and delivery scheduled Monday.

However, I received a separate UPS eMail today stating that it would be delivered tomorrow afternoon (Friday). Go figure ...

I just ordered my first ever iMac desktop and would like to know which external bluray burner you chose to complement your system. I have a BTO 27" 3.4ghz i7 1Tb Fusion, 8g ram and trying to find a nice bluray burner for 1080p video I still have on my Panasonic HD camcorder. Help! My new Mac scheduled to arrive December 31st. Thanks.

I picked up a BD burner from Other World Computing about this time last year. It was a firewire 800 model with 4x burning. I have had nothing but wonderful success with OWC and would recommend any of their external Bluray burners.

I had to snag a Thunderbolt to Firewire 800 adapter but it was pretty cheap.

If I lived in Anchorage I would of had my Mac by now.

Hopefully for the last two days it's been enjoying Anchorage and seeing the sites.

Mine has been with yours the whole time. I'm also staring at that same window all day long hitting F5. Leave KY already and come to PA, please! I'd love to get it tomorrow.

I'll take KY over Anchorage....at least you can drive to KY and go navy seal like on the UPS hub and rescue your Mac.

This makes sense.

The only flight I could find that was traveling from Shanghai to Louisville via Anchorage that matched the tracking timeline was a China Air Freight flight.

Sounds like they have a contract carrier the entire way.

An early delivery would be nice, but only if the tracking information lets me know ahead of time. I'd rather be home for the delivery than come home after work and find a "we missed you" notice on the door. Mine is coming via FedEx, so I don't think an early delivery is in the works anyway. Has anyone with theirs coming FedEx had their delivery day bumped up?

If it is like the iPad Mini I received on Wednesday, KY is where it clears customs, not just an UPS hub. So that could be why it's taking longer, a large shipment of iMacs might need an extra day or so to get ready to move. Also means we could not just show up and demand it :p

It really all depends on your local area and position along the route for the FedEx/UPS driver. In my area, FedEx normally always delivers around 10:00am to noon, whereas UPS delivers between 5:00pm to 7:00pm. FedEx is also accurate in their shipping date.
