27" iMac delivery thread (Canada)

Curious.....everybody on this thread seems to have had their iMacs shipped via UPS, am I the only on to have had it shipped with FedEx (not that I am complaining, I'm actually jumping for joy )? There is a huge, brand new FedEx facility close to my house, I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I just posted this in the main delivery thread also -my iMac just got shipped during the night, also by FedEx. I'm not complaining either! Roll on Wednesday!

Fedex delivery as well

No mine was shipped by Fedex. Left China on the 14th and is now in Memphis with expected delivery by noon on Wednesday. I'm hoping it comes on Tuesday since I will be out all day on Wednesday. I got expedited shipping i.e. 2-3 days so really it should be here on Tuesday.

UPS just updated, looks like our iMacs left KY and are heading to Canada. Delivery date back up now and set of Monday Dec 17th.

Mine has followed the same path as yours, and it's FINALLY left Kentucky. Now that its in Buffalo, NY, it should easily pass through Canadian customs in time for Monday.

I'm just glad it's going somewhere

Yup, just noticed mine arrived in Buffalo as well. Looks like our iMacs are side by side.

Mine is now in transit from Shanghai via FedEx. Was due the 24th, Apple says 21st and FedEx says the 20th. Let's hope FedEx is right. Glad it is not coming via UPS!

Today at 2:11pm my iMac made it to Buffalo. Scheduled delivery is Tuesday to the GTA via UPS.

Does the imac ship on weekends like Saturday an Sunday or did u pay extra because my imac has been in transit in shanghai,CH for the whole day!! So did u pay extra since your imac is going to buffalo,NY on a Saturday!

Didn't pay extra. Packages will still move in the supply chain on the weekend.

The frustrating part is that I am only 1 hour away from Buffalo but the package won't enter Canada until Monday and than get to me on Tuesday.

So I wonder why my iMac is still in transit in shanghai because its been like 13 hours since its been in transit! Can't believe after china, the iMac is going to explore around the states and then on Wednesday- finally come to my door!

Lucky! Mine is still showing as being in KY. It got there early in the morning yesterday.

Nope. Still in Louisville with only an Arrival Scan. No departure or anything to do with customs.

IMAC picked up on Dec. 14 from China 11.13 AM local time, arrived in Memphis on the 14th at 10.37 at Fedex location and arrived at around 5 PM in Mississauga on the 15th (today). Still shows delivery date of 19th though which I find a bit strange, not sure why it would take that long to be delivered to Toronto from Mississauga. Maybe it will be early?

I think out iMac's are travelling together! Mine left China as well on the 14th, arrived in Memphis and is at Mississauga on the 16th. We should get it on Monday by noon!

Mine also arrived in Memphis at 2:34 this morning.
Checking FlightAware I can see that last Sunday there were 2 flights from Memphis to Toronto.



These flights do not show up as "scheduled" for today though. I wonder if they are based on demand or if they don't show up unless they have actually departed. Interesting....

You think this would be a busy shipping time with more flights scheduled. I had a package delivered via fedex overnight from Memphis to Toronto to Halifax last week so I know you could get yours tomorrow. Still holding out hope I could get mine in the late afternoon. Either way it is still early. We shall see if there are any unscheduled departures this afternoon.

Yup, mine shows that it left Memphis at 9:41. If it gets here tomorrow it would be great. Can't wait to start using this baby!

Edit: Checked FlightAware again and guess what

I ordered a 2012 Mac Mini and it shipped with FedEx as well. i got it a day earlier than they said. i wake up for work at 5am so that morning i saw the item clear customs and by 7am, it was out for delivery.

So my guess is this will happen with the 27" iMac tomorrow morning. It will clear customs in Mississauga, then it will be out for delivery a few hours after and an attempted delivery before noon.

Also, might depend on where you live. I'm central Toronto - if a day early, then I would get it on the 18th (hoping), if I get it tomorrow that would be two days early. I didn't realize that it hadn't cleared customs yet. I will check first thing in the morning to see if it is out for delivery. Thanks.
