I bought mine at a dutch webshop. The Netherlands is next to Germany so it wasn't a surprise that a dutch webshop is now a reseller of the Dr Bott adapter. I searched the webstore, www.atstore.nl if they would ship to countries outside The Netherlands or even Europe, but I can't find it. So I guess they don't. There is a contactform on the website so you can ask if they would..

Thanks for the help. I would need one with the UK plug, will try and see if they can supply one. Thats again.

i read the first couple pages of this thread and this last one but i don't have time to search the other 20ish pages of this thread!

couple of general questions: so overall, video&audio work for the Xbox 360 with this adapter? (anyone have a link for it by the way?)
and would this work with the 21.5" iMac? or is this just with the 27"?

Audio & video = check, see youtube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUyml2CIG1s
It only works on the 27" iMac because the 21,5" doesn't have an input possibility.

A link for a reseller of your country can be found here: http://www.drbott.info/Reseller.html

The link to the converter is:

And it only works with the 27" iMac's as they only have the input mini DVI

thanks to all three of you! if only i had US$1,700+ on hand to spend:rolleyes:

Hi guys :D Good news :) It works, with sound and it looks awesome.

I made already some pictures, gonna make a movie now. Are there any suggestions of what i need to show?

@The PS3 question, it has to work, there is no technical difference between the output of a PS3 and an xbox360. They are both HDMI out, so should work like a charm!

I'll tape the connection, then the switch, show you the sound works via the adapter, and some in game footage. And maybe a close-up.

Thank you for the demo! I ordered one and I don't even have my 27" i7 yet!

i'd like to say thanks again to orange.x
and to say hi to people in hk....dr. bott has a reseller in the DG group, but when I called, they seemed clueless about the company, which is worrying! i told them to contact the office and let me know if I can get the product through DG since they are resellers of dr. bott's products.

A few years ago I worked at a hardwarestore and sometimes a manufacturer of some products just puts you on some list of resellers without any confirmation that they really sell the product.

The list for The Netherlands from Dr Bott for example doesn't include www.atstore.nl where I got the adapter from.. So it's a reseller but it's not on the list!

Hi orange.x, may i ask did you paid 99 euros excluding shipping for your Digital Video Link for 24" LED Cinema Display?
It seems that Dr. Bott USA is selling it at only US$129, and Dr. Bott europe and www.atstore.nl is selling at 99 euros = US$144.
Thanks

I ordered the 129 euro's version especially for the 27" iMac. But I mentioned it before, the included adapter is exactly the same! The diffrence in package is the included cables that come with the adapter.

The more expensive version includes a HDMI cable ( approx. 60-70cm ) and a mini-DP cable ( also 60-70cm ). If you already have a HDMI cable of descent quality I would go for the 24" version and buy a mini-DP cable myself which, because of the price difference, can be longer than the included DP cable. You can get a 1,5M mini-DP cable for around 20 euro's ( probably cheaper possible, but the reseller told me that the quality is an important factor ). We all know that an electric signal is an electric signal, and that gold plated connecters probably are just for us to pay more :p

I hope it's a little clear what I'm trying to say.

Cheap version + other, longer, mini-DP cable will cost the same as the expensive version which includes a "short" cable of just 60-70cm. But I don't know what length you need, so you have to decide for yourself. If the cheap version is the only one they can ship, I would take it and buy a mini-DP cable.

Thanks for the fast reply. 129 euro = US$187. Guess buying from US is much cheaper than in europe. Dr. Bott US is selling it at 149 for the 27" iMac version.

Thanks again :D

So nothing out for 1080p? I saw a reseller is in Australia but cannot find that product on their site :-( wanna c the price

The problem with 1080p isn't the adapter but the iMac. The iMac doesn't take 1080p as an input. We can be happy that is does 720p :p

I guess you have to mail the company / reseller if they can get it from their distributor.. You might have a chance!

Ah ok, 720p is alright! Was wondering caus gt5 will be out
this year and would be good too see it on the iMac in that proper HD quality, as the full game will actually be 1080p HD, but my 56" will do for that :p

just sucks Australia can't get it :-(

Thanks for these tests. Is it possible to change the output res of a ps3/xbox without plugging it into a TV first? I don't have one, and don't have one near me..

Dr. Bott works great for me. Seeing that other people have posted video I don't think I need to.
