Why waste your time with this useless post if you're not even going to answer the question? It would have been much simpler (and more helpful) had you just answered with an approximate time.

Agreed. I don't get it either.

OF COURSE you are correct! My needs aren't sufficiently critical for having a "super" monitor. I already mentioned what my primary use for the Vizio is, so it should be no wonder that it is sufficient. I've got 4 HD TV's in the house, up to 61", so I'm hardly one who is "suffering" from hardware envy. I just don't NEED a more fancy monitor for my desktop & gaming needs.

You not needing a better monitor does not mean better monitors are overpriced.

So he posts on here at times? It would be great if he would chime in now!!

So...he isn't always right. Hmm...that is discouraging. Then this could be just another Tuesday of disapointment...I am so anxious for the iMac update...these empty Tuesdays are killing me.

Now you know why he doesn't have any comments on his site ;)

Ill be getting my 27inch iMac AND Starcraft 2 tomorrow?

Have you played SC2 on a mac yet? Unless you have a mac pro, you can't even play past medium settings, which means no real glow effects or shading. It's half the experience. You can throw more power at it, god knows new iMacs have the chance of having a newer line of graphics cards, but to some degree we just need better open GL drivers.

I think i've missed something and this probably sounds very stupid, but why are they saying that theses updates are coming out tomorrow.....

Unless you have an Elite Kuro, you're missing out.

Why are you always so negative?

Perhaps he is suffering from "once burned, twice shy" issues. :) Can't say as I blame him, as a general rule, when one sees performance suffer in products that could have been much better than the reality provided by the mfgr.

Interesting that the resolution for the 27" screen and iMac is 2x 720p height, 2x 720p width, and the pixel width as the 30" ACD.
Would they push for high bitrate 720p videos, then you could pixel double on this monitor? Will be interesting to hear what 720p looks like, or 1080p on the 27" screen.

i want an iMac that has smaller sized screen, (maybe 20 - 21 inches) that can run an i7 quad core... those 27" screens are MONSTERS.

That wouldn't be a bad set up. If they offer the smaller size with an i7 - it will be a tough sell for me. What I would love is an intermediate size 24" i7 machine...but I doubt that will happen. Either way - it will have to be the i7 machine for me - which more than likely means the 27" machine.

I've never even heard of Starcraft 2, but after reading this topic I want to buy it along with my new iMac. Stoked!

New Trackpad not launched at an event?

Wouldn't you expect a Magic Trackpad device to be released at an Apple event? It seems that something like this needs some explanation/demonstration. Wouldn't it be a bit odd to have it just appear in the store? I suppose they will have some video showing it off though.
