So, it appears that this version fixed the high frequency audio problem for me both after sounds play and while recording video. Anyone else?

If you are running on AT&T 5.0 when you go to update the Beta will it downgrade the carrier to 4.5? And is anyone else on 5.0 having a problem not getting the MMS option in the Settings-Messages?

Preferences->General->Network->Internet Tethering

I didn't try it, I just saw the option. I had downloaded the profile before under 3.0 but removed it under 3.1.

I'd post a picture but NDA violation to do so.

Where did you get the profile to enable tethering? I have tried everything and so far no luck :(

SDK Still has Build Problems

Still having build problems under 3.1.
An app that doesn't leak under 3.0 starts up with a varying number of leaks and will eventually crash!

build it under 3.0 and run it on 3.0 OR 3.1 and it doesn't leak!!

You can double tap

Next model 2) Make one of the buttons on the phone work as a track advance button while in Ipod mode so if you're not using control button headphones you don't have to pull the phone out, unlock it, etc.)

the home button while the phone is locked to bring up rr/pause/ff. This is not a new feature, it's been there a while.

3.1 will probably be released when AT&T is ready to enable MMS. Question is, how long will be this? I guess we'll keep seeing 3.1 Betas until MMS is ready. I hope it isn't 4 or 5 Betas. Damn you, AT&T. I needed to send a picture to a friend the other day...the MMS way.

This post is definitely "smack-worthy".

Do you not still have to pull the phone out of your pocket to touch forward or reverse??

He means pushing one of the physical buttons to advance the track.

Wow.

hahah my thoughts exactly.

the only reason i dont like to use my iphone as an ipod is for this very reason.

I hate having to take out the phone, press the home button twice, then press next track on the screen. and all of this has to be done while looking at the phone since there is no physical button

Can't Instal

Anyone know why i am getting an error message "ERROR: Sending ramdisk to device:Command execution failed on device" I never had trouble with an iphone beta before and i can't see why this is happening.

los angeles, ca and currently at home

AT&T's network is a huge jumble of MNCs obtained through mergers and acquisitions. It wouldn't surprise me that they are reusing one of the older existing MNCs for the Microcells of which there may be some base stations still using (such as the one you are using). If they chose a MNC that is in the EPLMN on the SIM already then they wouldn't have to reissue new SIM cards to Microcell users.

Then why does the person mention "unlock it"? You don't have to unlock to bring up the music controls if the iPod is already playing? The person might have known about the double-click virtual controls, might not have have.
