All I did was OPTION+Check for updates and let it install - didn't need to start a new or restore
Trying that now..

There was something I saw stating that porting the iPhone Apps more than video was an undocumented feature on 2.1. Some game developer even got their game to work on the TV.
So I thought for sure it would be on 3.0.
edit:
here it is http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2008/11/iphone-2-2-sdk-offers-undocumented-tv-out-features.ars
that's from 2.2 sdk I am surprised it hasn't arrived yet
Well my MMS is definitely not working with 3.1b2
rogers 3G seems extremely faster after update. maybe 7.2 MBPS bump?
Carrier file for Rogers here in Canada was updated, but everything works well MMS and tethering, no problems. I wonder if 3g speed increased, max I've ever had here was 400.6 KB.
did anyone else notice the triple click option for zoom, b/w, or voiceover as well as the calendar invite option?
They updated the non-destructive video trim buttons, which I know I heard a couple people in these forums complain about before. So I'm sure a lot of people will like this.
Will be posting more info to my blog here as I find it:

This was added in 3.1 b1. There is almost nothing new in b2, apart from a few API diffs with the Image Picker, and the video editing.
Updated to the 3.1 b2, never jailbroken or messed with that sketchy AT&T 5.0 carrier file.
I tested this after I installed 3.1b2 and can say without any hacks it finally works.
Just to make sure I am adding my brothers iPhone and he is in San Fransisco so Ill update when he is done, here are some screen shots
Seriously?
At least we know it is the color temperature profile and not the screen issue.
A second option-install put the camera icon back. So I have no idea what's up.The camera icon showed up fine and mms worked for me in b2. Who is your carrier? Mine is At&T
AVRCP is still not supported![]()
Hopefully GPS and WiFi will be repaired. Both were killed by the 3.0 update on my 3G. Others on the Apple boards have experienced one or both issues, and restoring doesn't help. (GPS is usually very slow and miles off-target. WiFi works for a while after the 3.0 update, and then reception dies to nothing after several days.) Of course, not everyone has these issues--so hopefully Apple isn't overlooking them.
If you have GPS or WiFi issues--or anything else for that matter--do what I did, and let Apple know

My network name (AT&T) disappeared next to signal strength after the upgrade - similar to the pictures found of the iPhone 3GS found on the Apple website. Appears as "Not Available" in the About section of the phone.
Even though its relatively minor, it's annoying. Anybody else having this problem?

Anyone have SMS app crashing, without even opening?... Grrrrrrrr!!! Rebooted and it STILL won't launch!!
Yep - I can get into Messages but when sending it crashes. I can only see messages from my wife too as when I click the back button it crashes.
Email has crashed a couple of times already too - I've only used it a couple of times. I'm wishing I hadn't upgraded!!!
Anyone been able to downgrade?
Any indication it has fixed the battery drain problem?
I would love to know if anyone who was experiencing the slow iphone with 3.0 notices any difference with 3.1. My phone is really much slower since I upgraded to 3.0. The 3g that is, no idea how the 3GS is.
