And for the people that say "apple doesn't show anything to anyone in the accessories market until the phone is released to the public" is just retarded. I bet everyone and their dog in the iphone accessories market has one of these things or at least a non working unit.
I am not sure how closely you have looked, but the back is not rounded, only the corners are, according to this image (assuming it is an accurate example of what it will be like), the majority of the back of the phone will be flat like the current model. All phones that I have known of were designed to be lain flat on tables and such, and any company would be partially insane to design one w/o a flat back/way to lay it down. The corners mostly have just been spread out as to how they bend.<snip rant>Worst of all though is the rounded back. How incredibly STUPID is that??!! I spend a huge amount of time using my iphone with it laying on flat surfaces like tables & desks. With a shape like this it would be almost impossible to use it that way. Dumb beyond all comprehension!<snip rant>
this is nuts
the image has a "copyright" of april, the news about specs being given to 3rd party companies is may...
I think cavemen used to find big women sexy because it signified that they had greater access to food. Either that or a thyroid condition... I always forget.
Thats the question right there. And what other physical features are going to change? How much do we expect the iPhone's weight to change?
I did. Then I read lots of speculation on a case. If they were going to show a new case, why would they not find a current image of the phone.![]()

I wouldn't trust that company's renderings for even a second.
Lajo, the guy who runs the company, was banned awhile back from iLounge for continuously using the site's forums to try to drum up business with stupid promotions (ex/ Key Program). Everything he does is for publicity.
Its a small company based in a small factory in China, and I wouldn't bank that they have ANY inside info.
Yeah, this looks pretty ugly and fat. I wouldn't trade my current iPhone in for it. And I'm expecting the 3G data package to be around $25 - $30 a month, which I'm not willing to pay for. So overall, I think I'll just be keeping my current one, as I'm actually completely satisfied with it and use WIFI at home and school. The only bad thing is the battery life, but I don't think 3G or GPS would fix that. I wouldn't uses video chat either, as no one else I know could use it with me. The App Store will be exciting though! Games!!!
The top view in the pic suggests that only the 'spine' of the case/phone is touching the table. The side view does suggest its mainly flat with more pronounced curved edges but I think this is an illusion.Wirelessly posted (PPC; 240x320; HTC_TyTN/1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.7))
As many have already said, it is totally curved, just the edges, the majority of the back is flat....read previous posts!
Agreed. If this is a real indication of 3G iPhone design, the specification of this is going to have to be amazing to get over the bloated form-factor.
Time will tell.
