Emmm aluminum can be paint to black you know (same as cans) ;> it is not look like a plastic for me... it looks more like painted metal or sort of.

The entire phone can't be metal or there would be no reception. The antenna can't get through it, that's why the bottom of the current iPhone is plastic while the rest is aluminum. That's the antenna.

So, if the iPhone had a seamless back, it would need to be plastic, or you would have a useless phone.

Aluminum is the new Apple design. It is also part of their "green" initiative because it is easily recyclable. All current Apple hardware is aluminum. This includes MacBooks, MacBook Pros, MacBook Airs, Mac Minis, Mac Pros, ACDs, iMacs, :apple:tvs, iPhones and iPods. They are not suddenly going to release a plastic iPhone.

I'm not getting this 2 camera thing, why would you ever need 2 cameras on a phone?

Wow, interesting. Matte black looks sexy. At least it does look much better than the shiny version. And the apple logo looks so much better in silver than in white.

But this makes me doubt both pictures. Why would one leak be shiny while the other is matte?

I just assumed it was different lighting conditions. One is an amature shot and the other is more pro (if you know what I mean).

A camera on the back to take pictures, and a camera on the front to make video calls! The more pressing question is how could a phone take advantage of both of these features with only one camera?? Unless it swivled around of course, which would be a bad idea on Apples part in my opinion.

are you telling me the macbook im using right now is aluminum. i dont think so...

Ahh, good call. So the MacBook is the only piece of hardware they're offering in anything but aluminum right now, and even at that, it's matte rather than glossy, so my overall point still stands.

There will not be a new iPhone in the forseeable future that looks like the one in this post. I would put the house on it.

Forget aluminum and plastic, I bet this baby is carbon fiber. Problems solved. ;)

genius.

this thing is beginning to seem more and more like it could be the real thing with each post.

i wonder how one would go about getting it and posting it on the net before the release or the prototype of it without getting lynched by apple

No.
It's not looking more like the real thing.

I know this is called "Mac Rumors," but come on, how gullible are some of you people?

i do think that it could very well be the real thing.
this wouldnt be the first time a photo or information got leaked before the release.
i know this is 'macrumors' but that doesnt mean that everything posted here is a rumor.

Doesn't carbon fiber block cell phone reception? That is why the carbon fiber cases have the antenna area open.

THis looks so nice
but i dont think this is gonna happen
and i like the original iphone better cause it is prob better quality since it has metal and this concept is just plastic

i would say it's fake... but yeah. who knows. i wouldn't like this though. anything shiny is easily scratch-able.
