Honestly I would have preferred that they went straight to unavailable with the models they can't ship on launch day
And you'll see people saying, "I would have preferred that they open pre-order instead of being unavailable."

You know what, I'm done being negative. We've waited 7 months so far, what's another 4-6 weeks? We'll make it to the end.

Love it. Apple took away our in-person line but who says we can't share what happens in the time between when they launch and when us plebeians get them.
Some might get fired, have babies, fall in love, have a semi-tragic life event, but we can do it, together. I'm imagining a "Breakfast Club" of Apple Watch orderers.
"Dear Mr. Cook, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Friday morning of sleep for whatever it was we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a leather loop, a modern buckle, a milanese loop, and a sport band. Does that answer your question?
Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club"

but it would have been nice for them to know upfront that **Certain models may not be available for a 24th delivery.
Just a thought...been following these forums for a few days, and have not see anyone mention the fact that Apple Watches will likely be coming in everyday from the 24th. I see a big conspiracy about "batches", but I think it will be more like everyday deliveries. There is also a few day gap between the "1st" gap and the "2nd" gap, and certainly there will not be no Apple Watches shipped during that time.
I believe everyone that is in the 5/13-5/27 delivery date will see their orders in very late April or the first week in April.
My $0.02.
Honestly I would have preferred that they went straight to unavailable with the models they can't ship on launch day
I think that the point they are getting at is that it is a little, I guess you could say, dishonest to tell the world that the watch goes on sale on the 24th and not tell folks a head of time that certain models are not available. I get that folks that wanted the SS Black would have still ordered the SS Black, but it would have been nice for them to know upfront that **Certain models may not be available for a 24th delivery.
What would that accomplish? Within 3 minutes most of the watches would have been unavailable and then you'd see people REALLY flipping out. Then Apple would have had to announce when they're going back on sale, that would sell out in minutes, etc. This isn't Nintendo, making 500 Amiibos when they know there's demand from thousands of fans. Apple wants people to get their watches. So you're not getting yours on the 24th, so what?
If you really feel that strongly about it, cancel your order.
They don't have no announce anything, they didn't do it with the iPhone 6 why will they do it now ?
If you don't have anything to say other than repeat the same crap telling people to cancel their order don't bother mate; it seems that every time someone mention that this launch sucks you feel the urge to comment with the same crap.
Geesh, this forum's on fire![]()
To those of you (and me, but I'm getting one of the watches on Friday (hope)) AND are getting their charge cable ahead of time:
Don't do anything rash with that cable. It's meant to charge the Apple Watch, no matter how tempted you want to use it for "other things" while waiting impatiently. Above all, Do NOT go David Carradine on us please.
So my crap is worse than your crap? I'm just trying to give people some perspective. The world is not going to end because you don't get your watch this week or even this month.
And, someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but did the iPhone 6 ever go to "unavailable" or did it simply go to an incredibly long shipping estimate? I seem to recall it was the latter.
Honestly, what did you guys want Apple to do? They have limited supplies of the watch, and the watch is in very high demand. If someone here knows of a unicorn that farts rose gold Apple Watches, then by all means, let's all get one! Until then, we'll just have to wait. Whining like a petulant child isn't helping anyone.
As I said before: I'm in the same delivery window as everyone else in this thread. The watch is a birthday gift that won't even arrive in time for my birthday. I am absolutely disappointed that Apple won't get me my watch in time. But what can I do about it? Nothing, short of robbing someone who has a watch before they pair it to their phone. The bitterness and entitlement of people across this forum is just staggering.
Just spoke with a friend of mine who's a manager at Apple and he says, based on what the retail teams have been told, to educate customers that the estimated wait times are accurate and to expect the arrival of their watches within their specified timeframe. Looks like we will not be receiving these watches by Friday...... Bummer!!!
