Certainly doesn't look like they knew it in time to be meaningful to us. There is not a single person, so far, who ordered 42mm Space Gray, was put in the second group, and has since had their order status changed from "processing."

Matthew Panzarino, over at TechCrunch, wrote, "It’s likely that several million (I’m hearing more than estimates I’ve seen out there so far) Apple Watch units have been sold already — and that more have been ordered [by Apple] than previously reported."

I think they have been running at full capacity for a while (months?) and beginning to take steps to raise that contractually set capacity (by altering contracts, adding a factory), starting Apr 10th, won't affect near term production. And they won't charter additional planes till they make enough additional watches to fill those planes.

TL;DR: If you got a May 13th delivery estimate, that's probably the earliest you should expect getting it. Only the people with more vague delivery estimates, like "June," might end up with "early June."

Exactly! I had some hope yesterday that I would at least get charged for the watch but as of 8:00am est today my credit card still is not charged and my order is still Processing. I really think the 13th of May is going to be the next big shipping wave as in, if you're order says 5/13-5/27 it's not coming any sooner. It seems like May 13th should have been the watch release day!

Given how many Space Grays have made it to Preparing to Ship in the wave 1 thread, and Apple's past performance on beating estimates, I think it's very possible we could get a shipping notification from China tomorrow or Friday for delivery end of the week last week.

As has been referenced, a LOT of us had our 6+ orders beat estimates by a week or more.

I know this doesn't mean anything, but my delivery time frame is May 13 - May 26 (rather than the 27th almost everyone seems to have gotten). Just seems odd that it's not a standard window for everyone.

I also ordered an extra charging cable in a separate order after ordering the watch. It shipped yesterday and for the first time ever in all the things I've ordered from Apple over the years, the tracking originated within Canada. Hopefully, when the time comes for the watch to ship, it too will not be on the slow boat from China. :)

So....

Who really thinks they'll get their watch by Friday?

My 42 SS Black Sport is in the 4/6 week window, but for some reason I keep hitting refresh

Grrrrrrr

Ummm, why would you receive your watch on opening day when it's scheduled for weeks later?

Take a deep breath, get off the computer, and go outside and get some exercise and fresh air.

Edit: I'm sorry MrGimper. Forget what i said above -- my foot is in my mouth. I did not realize that some folks in the 4-6 week window had actually received shipping notices and will be receiving their watch on Day One. (according to others here)

I don't.

My hopes and fears lie with next week.

I have a feeling that today will be our lucky day! Well not for every one of us obviously, but we will start seeing movement for some 4-6 weekers in US/Canada. I feel it!

Because some of the second wave has been charged already and prepared for shipment.......

Same as me I'm in the UK

Because some people from UK, Hong Kong and Germany who got in the 4-6 weeks window saw their order status go to Preparing for shipping and got charged on their credit cards, so there might be hope. Not much but still some.

i really want to be able to use mine on my vacation which lasts from may 8th through the 16th. not counting on it though grrr

It's so nice to see that I'm not the only one who's absolutely obsessing over this.

Unnecessarily so from my perspective. In the lines you knew you'd at least leave with product in hand. Therefore it was entirely your choice to stand in them. The Apple staff were always great in coming out asking what you intended to buy and letting you know whether they had any that day or not. I much prefer the line than this dogged pre-order. I also hate that several Apple staff told me I could do store pickup. Since I am on vacation for a month I am betwixt and between

Yeah I posted the other day about how much better the stand in line option is compared to pre-order. If you get there early enough, you get the product you want at 8am and there's no online hissy fits, bitch fits and people throwing their toys out of their pram.
Getting a guarantee of a shiny new toy in my hands at 8am on release day is what overnight campouts is all about.

I am in this group, and feel there is no way I am getting mine on Friday (or any date in April)

42mm SS Black Leather Loop

It would be nice to get it Friday, but not expecting anything until May :)

That's true since many of us in this group missed the first wave by mere minutes. 3:05AM EST and I have to wait until May 13-27? Disappointing. :(

Same thing here... 42 mm SS Black Leather loop ordered at 304am.
Nothing yet still processing. Hoping that maybe we can get the tail end of the first batch of shipment waves

It would be nice, but also would be nice to get one from second batch. With almost anything, first batch is usually has a higher amount of flaws.

I could buy something for the same dollar amount and take a screenshot of it. LOL That is no proof at all of the watch shipping.

Many people in this time group have also posted FAKE photos of their order status showing preparing for shipment.

That's not really true. The last time that happened they just shortened the time that the tools are used, before they exchanged them.

It's not the case at all that the first batch has more flaws.
