That’s because it probably just sucks on the iPad.I've had an iPad Pro with the Pro Motion display, and I really can't tell one way or the other any difference from my iPhone or my desktop monitor which is 60hz.
As long as they intend to push forward with their anti-privacy functionality, my iPhone XS is my last iPhone.
Haha, 120hz is 120hz, it’s not like there is a better or a worse one. If you can’t notice it on one screen but can on another, what you’re noticing on that other screen is something else - perhaps motion blur. Most likely it’s just placebo, as higher refresh rates are easier to see on bigger screens. That’s because it probably just sucks on the iPad.
I have a promotion iPad as well, and I never notice it either. Then last year I checked out a co-workers phone that had 120 Hz, and it was pretty unbelievable. You can’t put your finger on it, but everything is just “different”.
apparently it also means you're immortal. And I'm the Queen of England.
Got to spend about 1hr with a 12 Mini yesterday...And i gotta say i loved it! The size and weight felt so nice in the hand compared to my 12P. So much so that i am considering going with the 13 Mini when released.
You and me both!Excited to get the 13 Mini!
It's a fantastic little beast!the disinterest in the mini is so surprising to me. if you've used it, you'll never want to go back to anything else. I have a 12 mini and will for sure be getting a 13 mini, especially if long-term they stop making small devices. 12 and 13 will likely have at least 5 years of iOS support so it seems like a worthwhile buy regardless.
Why do you want an inferior screen?Give us miniled iphone please… or ips one!
My wallet is so readyApple take my money!!!
Pretty sure study after study still shows Apple better than android on that front*, but maybe you are moving to something like PinePhone.
One has a wall clock. Very retro, I know.To check the time or if you have any notifications without having to interact with your phone. Especially useful for countdown timers where you want the information to update but don’t need the phone fully open and refreshing at 60Hz.
If Apple felt like making more than the minimum effort they could even allow widgets to present information like weather or calendar. So when you go to pick up your phone you see something like “rain expected in 10 minutes” without manually unlocking and checking.
tldr; quality of life
Yes hoping for this. My impression is that many 12 Mini users (and reviews) main complaint (if any) has been battery. So any improvements to that would be most welcome. Especially since i currently have a bit of battery anxiety with my 12P. But there are quite compact battery packs available so maybe not an issue after all more of an inconvenience really.5G modem will also change and thus should be more efficient + the apple silicon SOC also will be significantly more efficient + slightly larger battery equals an increase of battery life across teh 13 series.
To give apple more money to apple. Oh sorry I meant to partake in the “innovation“ of components that other companies make for apple.honest question. Why would I want an always on display?
See my tagline. It would almost seem… illogical to upgrade a ~1 year old $1,200 device.
I expected less than that tbh. as there wasn't a point for me to upgrade from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro Max.really 44%? I thought it would be more than that….
I can’t wait for the next iPhone.
