What I meant is, you said RedPocket had unlimited minutes and MMS, which is the same as Straight Talk. The cheapest RedPocket plan with unlimited minutes was $40, which is the same price as Straight Talk if you pay quarterly.

No contract with RedPocket? Exact same on Straight Talk.

So... how at the unlimited tier, how is RedPocket better? Especially because their "unlimited" data is soft-capped at 1 GB? And both networks are AT&T MVNOs, so the coverage is the same.

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say. Maybe I misunderstand.

NO
Do you have Straight Talk?

Yes, I do have Straight Talk, and no, I don't have a contract. So... do you have Straight Talk? Where are you getting this idea that Straight Talk is contract-based? It can be, true, it's more for convenience's sake (auto-billing). You can stop that at any time though.

Maybe I'm really stupid, but I still don't see the validity of your argument.

Just ordered my sim card today & I'm ready for the switch. I've been on red pocket mobile for about 4 months with really good data speeds & coverage. But since they switched there plan from 2gb unlimited to 1gb I think it's time to go. I've been reading through this thread for awhile & Straight Talk seems like there pretty good. I'll update once I get my 4s up & running with the new service. Thanks guys

Where in my post did i say that straight talk was not a pre paid carrier:confused: But anyways thanks for the input :D
I'll post back once my sim card gets here & im activated.....
Peace

Are you serious

Ah. Maybe I wasn't clear enough when I was asking why RedPocket dropped their soft cap to 1 GB. I mentioned AT&T and maybe you thought I was comparing RedPocket and AT&T, rather than RedPocket and Straight Talk, which is what I meant.

You're obviously right, both are definitely better for you and I (and probably a lot of people) than AT&T. Apologies for my misunderstanding.

It's cool ;) Im just ready to switch over ASAP. Around how long does it take for the sim card to ship out? Thanks

Mine only took three business days. Just note that you (or someone else) has to sign for the package. They can't leave it.

I ordered mine at 7pm Monday evening and it was delivered at 10 am on Friday.

I didn't have the time to install it until about 10 am on Saturday and by ~4pm my VM # was ported over and the iPhone was up and running.

Really? I closed one of my accounts around a year ago. All it took was calling them. They billed me my ETF. That was that. Very strange...

Essentially I just don't want to have a remaining balance on mt account as I ported mid billing cycle

Apparently talking to ATT they said there was no balance on my account where I was anticipating a week or so as the cycle is from the 29th to the 29th of the month and i ported on the 7th

annoying

Can't you just port your number on the straighttalk website and wouldnt you get the ETF and final bill from ATT ? I think this might /would be the easiest way .

I am out of contract so no ETF

I was on the paperless billing so wasn't sure how it would go. The lady assured me I wont have charges but I will keep my out for them. I am just unable to log into my att account since I ported

You will not be able to log into your AT&T account, it goes into an inactive status (same thing happened to me).

You'll get one last final bill by mail.

My sim card came yesterday:D on time but i have one question do anyone have the mms settings for straight talk? oh im jailbroken already and have TetherMe installed.

Ok I've did the APN WITH UNLOCKIT but my download speeds reads 0. Do I input straight talk or just attmnvo?

Also I've tried to send mms but it's a no go. If anyone has a good guide for mms & data I would love to see it.
Thanks
