Carrier $45 Unlimited Talk, Text, Data on Straight Talk (AT&T MVNO)?

Thanks guys got everything working mms & data. Only question is I'm using the attmnvo settings instead of the straight talk settings for the data APN is that cool?
Thanks Nickme you've been helpful

Ok I've did the APN WITH UNLOCKIT but my download speeds reads 0. Do I input straight talk or just attmnvo?

Also I've tried to send mms but it's a no go. If anyone has a good guide for mms & data I would love to see it.
Thanks

If you input your settings exactly as they appear on my uploaded picture, yout should have good internet speeds. Also, I did the unlocked APN settings first over a wi-fi network (like your home network or a nearby mcDonalds) and then put the exact same settings I have on my iphone and it should work. Good luck.

ps: somtimes the speedtest.net app. does not work right so I prefer to use the official FCC speedtest app.

Man my speeds are crazy fast & I love it. One one note is the data really unlimited because I love watching YouTube on my phone & I have know plans of tethering AT ALL so I was hoping that would not be a problem.

Just reporting back to the thread about my jump from red pocket to straight talk. My speed & call Quality are great. Thanks for the help guys. If I can help any let me know.

Will these steps be necessary for android phones too? If I set up an ATT Samsung Galaxy 3 S will it have MMS straight up or will these steps be required to activate it?

I bought the Sim Card for Straight Talk today so I'll be switching from Red Pocket hopefully it's a good move.
Are you porting your number? I am curious if you can from Red Pocket to Straight Talk as I am thinking of switching myself as they cut off the 2GB of data to 1GB.

Im going to port my number over hopefully its possible and that's one of the reasons why I switched . The funny thing is when i purchased my red pocket service they were changing it to 1Gb and i chatted with a rep and they said since you bought it today you will only get 1 GB . Hopefully Straight Talk is good .

Straight Talk is good. I get the same data speed as used to with AT&T. The only big downside is that they lost my old number when porting it.

Well I got the sim card today so I put in the port request to port from Red Pocket so hopefully by tommorrow everything will be in order if not I guess I'll have to get a new number =(. Did anyone have success with this?

Let me know how it goes I badly want to switch to Straight Talk, I am no longer liking Red Pocket as they have changed their plans quite a bit since I have been with them.

Just thought I'd give a quick update on my Straight Talk experience after a couple more months with them.

They appear to now be throttling rather then cutting off people's data. Obviously, this is way better then their previous practice of simply turning data off inexplicably. However, as before, one friendly phone call to them with your woes and they immidetely unthrottle your account back to full speed.

I've had to do this exactly twice. Once when I went over 4GB without calling them beforehand, and once when I did so right before the end of the month. When I renewed my service I was still throttled, so renewing doesn't seem to reset the throttling.

Again, in both cases, I simply gave them a call (from a different phone since reversing the throttling requires a series of restarts with your iPhone) and all was fixed immidetely. I wasn't teathering, I was very polite, and they reversed it right away. Really no big deal, and if it makes them feel more secure whatever.

Couldn't be happier with Straight Talk and am currently getting 7-8MB/s on my iPhone 4S. Hooray for $45 a month!

By the way, I highly recommend forwarding all voicemail to Google Voice. The transcribed visual voicemail is way cooler then Apple's any day! I simply put the google voice app above my phone app icon and followed Google's instructions to forward my number's voicemail to theirs. Works a charm!

Thanks for the update this actually made me more excited that I switched. As of 11:11 Pm My service has yet to work but they told me about 2 days so I'll wait and see what happens. My iPhone 4S currently says No Service. Hopefully when I put it on tomorrow it says "Home" as the network. Will notify you guys tomorrow and let you know if it's active.

I'm one month in to my Straight Talk AT&T Sim in my Iphone 4. I'm pleased and sticking to it. My data usage has been light though, but with tethering. Google voice for voicemail sounds good, I may give it a shot. I've been using youmail for visual voicemail, transcription is a paid service with them.

So far everyone that has Straighttalk was a happy customer . Hopefully I'm not disappointed.

Well i wasnt getting ported over untill i contacted Red Pocket on the chat service and told them to release my number and they released it and after I reset the network settings on my iPhone 4s and it took a few minutes and now it works.

Been using Straight Talk for three months on my 4s. Outstanding. Paid the ETF from AT&T. Ported my number to Google Voice so there are no worries about ST or any other provider losing the number I have had for several years. Coverage and data speeds are the same. Dont care about visual voicemail. No contract. Wish I would have converted sooner.

I just bought a factory unlocked iPhone 4S from Apple. I put in my T-Mobile sim card and everything worked right away. Is this the same with Straight Talk?

Curious to see how Straight Talk will handle the upcoming iPhone. I'm assuming you'll need to get an unlocked model to use it with ST and it won't be able to access LTE.
