I have this display, running over HDMI on a 2014 Mac Mini, and I was pretty sure in only could choose the 30hz option. However after reading this thread, and then checking monitor settings, I can see I can choose 59.88 Hertz, which I was almost certain wasn't there before. I did have the Mac Mini pulled apart last week for a routine dust cleaning, so everything was unplugged at that time, so perhaps that did the trick for me.

That's 60Hz for 1440p. This thread is about 4K.

When I select 1920x1080 HiDPI on my Mac mini 2018, the P2415Q connected via the Mac mini's HDMI port appears to use a mode 4K60 10bpc 4:2:0. Other HDMI modes can be 4:4:4 8bpc.

A DisplayPort connection uses 4K60 8bpc RGB. 4K60 might require MST to be disabled in the P2415Q display's menu.

I lost track of what you're talking about. Which setup?
Wow, this thread lives on! Sorry, forgot to respond back then, - what I meant was that the same monitor wouldn't permit 4K@60Hz over DP with the same adapter.

Are you talking about the Dell P2415Qb? Which adapter? Which computer/GPU?
Did you disable MST in the display menu?
