So there's nothing weird about the fact I lose 1% every 4 minutes while others go an hour and have 96%? Yeah, there may be some variation that will correct itself with continual battery cycles but 1% every four minutes with fairly minimal usage is a bit much still, right?.

Battery usage varies widely based on the type of usage, whether you're on wifi, etc. My iPhone 5 rarely got more than 4-5 hrs usage, ever. I brought it in to Apple several times, they checked the battery status and it looked normal.

Strange. I used my iPhone 6+ heavily yesterday from 7am-2am including calls, texting, surfing the web, netflix, and candy crush and still had plenty of battery life left. Sorry you're having these problems. Maybe call Apple?

Which carrier are you on?

Depends on what you're using it for. That may explain the drainage. But 1% every 4 minutes on a new phone is pretty fast. I would check on it and return it if you're not satisfied.

I think I'm on the same boat. While my battery life is good, I can see the percentages drop more quickly than I thought.

So out of the box it was at 70% and it's currently 25% more than 17 hours later, but most of the time it wasn't heavy usage (if at all). When I actually used the 6 Plus I saw the percentage drop.
I haven't got it to 0% yet, so I'm going to wait and see how it runs on a fully charged battery before I call Apple.

What do you guys think?

Exactly.
It's not like I was expecting iPad battery life, but I'm loosing 10-15% an hour on barely any usage

Have you checked out battery usage stats to see what's been using the most? Also, try to let it drain out completely so that it shuts off and then charge full. I used to do that with previous iPhones every few months. Seemed to help.

Give the phone sometime to break in

Yep,
My safari is at 20%
Home/lock screen at 19%
Messages at 11%.. Not high at all.

Also I've done two full cycles already and did soft resets after each of them. It made things marginally better, but I'm still draining a lot

Yeah, that's not much. I would try a couple things before heading for an exchange but it could be a bad battery.

Try resetting all networks settings. This seems to fix a lot of weird random problems. If that really doesn't do it, I'd go for a full restore. If that really doesn't do it, I'd say take it in.

Take some screen shots the battery usage. Maybe someone can provide insight?

Bottom line OP if it concerns you, go get it exchanged and hopefully you don't replicate the problem.

Battery on mine is amazing I couldn't be happier !

.. Which is only about 7 hours of usage if my battery is at 100 percent.
Is this average? It just seems pretty low to me.. I've customized my usage heavily and turned of all battery hogging features (except parallax). I close all apps besides the one that I am using. My screen brightness is turned down quite a bit as well.

Anybody have any ideas? Could this just be something Apple has to issue an update for?

Did you do the cloud restore from a previous phone? If so it is the back up running that is draining your battery, once that is complete you should see a big difference.

Nope I set up as a new iPhone. No cloud backup running!

OP, have you done any of the suggestions, suggested to you yet ?

Yeah:/

I'll give those a try, thanks.

I have a screenshot but for some reason it's not uploading. But I'm guaranteeing you, my app usage is barely anything

haha. I wasn't doubting you but rather maybe someone can see something that you don't.

Depends on what you at doing with it. If I am downloading Apps then I go through battery a lot faster however I've use my phone for 45 minutes and I've only lost 5% power. This is with using the phone to check email Facebook and these forums. Check to see how many apps are looking for notifications. That will definitely drain your battery faster. I wouldn't mind to bare essentials. I don't want Facebook in me every time somebody post up something.
