That's not present on my 6 and I find it hard to believe Apple would allow that performance on their flagship device.

Beta users running 8.1 already talking above a lot of improvement in scaling, transitions, rotation, and overall speed. Within the next few updates the polishing will be better. Can't wait for my favorite apps to be updated to 1920x1080. Being an android user for the last two years there is nothing poor quality on my 6 plus.

The only issue I have is that the music app lags when scrolling and when I return to the home screen. Sometimes the animations lag a little there. I am on 8.1, but I upgraded not restored. Do you think if I did a full restore to 8.1 then the lag might go away?

Same here.

Same here. No lag.

How come there are some people BASHING the 6 Plus for lag if the majority says there is no lag or stutter whatsoever? I smell scamsung ...

You should inform Apple since a lot of effort went into helping to fix lag and stuttering with iOS 8.1 on all iPhones including the 6+.

You could save them a fortune if they knew they were fixing a problem that didn't exist.

To all that say there is no lag on the Plus, download Zen Garden from the App Store and play around with it... There is evident graphical lag and stutters. Zen Garden runs smooth as heck on the 6. With that being said, I still very much enjoy my 6 Plus.

I don't have lag where it shouldn't be expected like App Store etc. 3rd party apps will catch up in time.

This phone has been completely redesigned and is on it's first OS version. What do you guys expect?? If problems persist after one or two OS updates, then start bitching all you want! :)

As I pointed out, it is very easy to get stuttering when scrolling on the App Store / Updates list. It's been that way since iOS7 on my iPhone 5, and it still exists on my iPhone 6 w/iOS8.

I think it's reasonable to expect that they should have fixed that by now. To be clear, it doesn't bother me too much, and I live with it, but it's still annoying.

But think about it this way: some people buy an iPhone for the first time. they don't care that it's been redesigned, that the ios8 just came out. they don't even know anything about it. and yet, they bought a new pricey phone that doesn't deliver as it should. You'd be pissed, too. You're not only because you understand how it works. It's ok that ios8 is a little raw. But it's unacceptable selling a new phone that has this raw and bugged operating system. Having said that, of course i bought a 6 plus. And updated iPad air to ios8. And yes, i haven't found any bugs or lags (on iPad air, the 6 is still in china lol) But there are people who did. Just like with OSX. Never had any problems with new versions, but there are people who complain right until .4, .5 release. You can't possibly believe that only because you don't have problems other people don't, too.

There is no lag in the app store for me. You must be an Android troll. :D

You're kidding right? I'm an Apple fanboy. I've had the 3GS, the 5, now the 6 Plus. I've owned 6 iPods, and two iMacs. I love Apple products, just reporting what I see.

I was kidding, that's why I had. :D I wasn't kidding about no lag though.

I agree in some way. The 6 plus is an evolution at best, definitely not a revolution. Apple is playing catch-up. Look at the competitors. This upgrade should've been done a LONG time ago. Having said that, I like Apple and I'm used to their OS etc. which is what is why this was a good upgrade for me, mostly size which is what I wanted. Yes, Apple should've done better.

first, mobile revolution is over. The industry is getting close to becoming mature and saturated. From now on, it is going to be incremental changes. you are dreaming if you expect a revolution like the original iphone.

second, I agree that Apple was behind in some aspects. but they also lead some other aspects: touch ID, Apple Pay, etc.

don't tell me that Google/Samsung had NFC for years. yes, they did. but what they did was throw in a NFC chip and called it a feature. it is not a true secured and easy of use end-to-end integration like apple pay.

I'm updating to the 8.1 beta to see if if scrolling has gotten more smooth. It's a beta, there probably will be a few bugs, but I'm just interested in the scrolling.

I still don't see any lag, but keep us updated, bug fixes are always a nice thing to see.

If I do see lag, I'll report it to Apple and post it here. Also, lag isn't the right word for me to use, the device scrolls fine, the scrolling animation stutters.

Scrolling stutter still there in 8.1, when scrolling top charts on App Store for example.

I have both a 6 and 6+ and I am not seeing any lag on my +. And 8.1 seems to have cleaned up a bunch of bugs present in 8.0.2.

This was my experience too. Both were the same and lag or stutter hasn't been my experience on either. I ended up keeping the plus because I liked using it better and performance was identical.

Either I am too OCD about the stutter, or I got one with a bad graphics chip.

No idea just posting my first hand experience using both.
I came from an S5 though and that was far from a good experience 60% of the time.

I got it, it is the apps loading. I saw a little jag/stutter too but it disappeared as soon as the apps 1-150 were loaded. I especially noticed since 1-49 were fluid, then the rubber band thing kicked in and the next apps loaded up. Afterwards there were slight stutters each time another batch of apps was loaded into memory. ;)
I am getting similar stutter on my iPad Air too though. So it's not a Plus exclusive lag.
