I think some men are simply intimidated by size because they'er not used to seeing what 5.5" looks like in hand....... Others are fine with 7.9" in their hand while still others are used to 9.7" or more.

You are quite the expert on Men and their..... Apple devices

There's probably lots of people saying the 6 is too big, because their ideal phone size is the 5s. People better get used to things, because there isn't going to be another 4" iPhone... TruFact.

It's obnoxiously large, for a phone. I think a lot of people who get their 6+ are going to be disappointed whether they admit it or not. I'm glad I ordered just the 4.7" which will arrive in the next few hours via UPS
The 6 Plus IS obnoxiously large, buyers WILL be disappointed, they WILL return it, and they WILL admit it right here in this forum.

6 foot 2.

Holding it is not the problem here, I can hold it comfortably. But when it comes to reaching over the screen and the juggling the phone around to reach the bottom/top and then use TouchID, I just find it uncomfortable!

Just got my 6 and I find it's the PERFECT size for one hand operation. I'm glad I didn't get the plus. It's VERY comfortable one handed!!!!

Nobody is going to return it, they won't be able to. What planet are you from? That's the reason there will be complaints...because nobody wants that flat brick attached to their ear for the next 2 years.

The last thing I need is to walk around with a tablet plastered to the side of my head. Too big! :apple:

Then don't buy it.

Not all of us use our iPhones soley as a phone. Hell, I barely use any minutes in a month as it is. If anything, I use it more for internet, text, email, social media, video, music, etc... And a BT headset solves the whole tablet on the side of your head issue.

You all think that if it is too big for you it is too big period. Not everyone is made the same or has the same preferences. I want something larger than the iPhone 6 but smaller than my iPad rMini to use while I am out of my house. The iP6+ will meet that need...for ME.

If it doesn't meet your needs, I understand that but please stop coming on the forums saying that Apple screwed up and made a phone that is too big. That is personal opinion. I for one am glad that Apple came out with the iP6+.

Too big to watch movies, too big to read books, too big to browse websites, too big to use as the car's GPS, too big to play games, too big to... ?

But no, 'it's too big' because you have to occasionally use your other hand? :D

It's a phablet. If you want a phone, you buy one for $50

or buy a 6, since I already own a iPad... instead of cramming 2 uses into 1 device that doesn't effectively satisfy either need, I just own both devices and can use them accordingly. That seems like a better solution.

You don't understand why people come to a forum to give their personal opinion?

Welcome to the internet. Also, ironic that you gave your personal opinion simultaneously... lol

You're wrong. Here is the Plus case in my hand. My hands are not overly large. In fact, I wear MEDIUM size latex exam glove all day long.

I'm guessing that it will truly take more than a few minutes to decide whether or not it is TOO BIG. I bet within a couple of days of using the 6 Plus it will feel like second nature and then then will really shine with it's awesome screen and cool features.

This is going to be 100% dependent on what you want your use cases to be.

If you are someone who doesn't need to take the phone out, quickly use it, and put it back. Someone who wants a powerful information device more than a phone - I think they are going to love the 6+.

Its people who still, at a base level, need a phone that are going to be very disappointed by the 6+ I think.

I'm 5ft nothing and I want the plus. I'll be typing on it, surfing and reading, for me it's a smaller iPad that I can text and use as a phone. It means I can leave my iPad mini at home. It's not too big for me and I want a folio case for it as well so I can use it as a stand.

It will always be carried in a handbag, not a pocket.

Imagine a world where Apple could link up all these people who LOVE the big yet can't get one and those who HATE the big and might return it.

This. I have used a Bluetooth headset for years. Even before Siri, some headsets could make voice activated calls on any phone. When my iPhone comes out of my purse, I'm taking notes, reading, watching videos, browsing the Internet, etc. I'm 5'6" and female and I "practiced" on a Note 3 before making the commitment, and while my thumb only makes it 65% across the screen, I've always been a two handed texter. I never mastered the one-handed texting on any phone.

I'm thrilled to be able to leave my iPad mini at home and not have to pay extra data charges to get 4g on it anymore. Plus, I'm in clinical at my university and being able to take notes on the Plus is going to be a wonderful thing. That and having quick and easy access to my textbooks on the fly via Kindle app and not have to strain my eyes to read them is a big deal to me, too.

If you're looking primarily for a phone, you'd be wise to get a 6.

The only obnoxious thing in here is your post.

Could you get any more presumptions into it?

You've got NOTHING to back up your *opinions* at all.

You just sound like someone that couldn't (for whatever reason) get a 6 Plus and now you're behaving like a spoilt child, trying to brainwash everyone into thinking the 6 Plus is a total no go, to make you feel better about wherever phone you've got/ordered, or are allowed.

I had the Note 3 as a second phone up until the 6 Plus was announced. The iPhone 5 is my daily driver. The Note 3 did take some getting used to, I'd say it felt awkward for a week or two tops. Then after that it felt natural. I expect the same with the 6 Plus for people who have not used a larger phone.
