or buy a 6, since I already own a iPad... instead of cramming 2 uses into 1 device that doesn't effectively satisfy either need, I just own both devices and can use them accordingly. That seems like a better solution.

The Plus actually fills a really nice niche between iPhone and iPad mini. Some of us don't like paying an extra $20/mo to get service on an iPad and are thrilled to have one device do it all. My iPad can stay home now and save me some money.

I'm 6'4" and have been using an HTC One M8 for a few months coming from a 5s. To this day the screen is just too big enough to be annoying, I cannot imagine using something as massive as the 6plus as an all day device. I feel like the 10% of the time a huge screen would matter doesn't outweigh the 90% of normal use time where it would be a hassle.

However; this is the first time iPhone users have had this choice and that's a good thing. Some people will genuinely like it and it's cool to have the choice of 2 differently sized flagship devices now in the way that Samsung users have had for years.

Is there a forum where people argue about cars being too big as well? This is so entertaining that I'd like more of it.

Nobody is going to return it, they won't be able to. What planet are you from? That's the reason there will be complaints...because nobody wants that flat brick attached to their ear for the next 2 years.

Phones bought directly from Apple stores have a 2 week return period. No?

I feel like if the Plus had been redesigned it wouldn't look quite as obnoxious (to ME), the actual screen size is great, fantastic even, but the size of the bezels is ridiculous. It looks like an overgrown iphone rather than something intentionally done--the proportions are exactly the same and it seems hard to believe this was necessary to fit everything in.

This. Apple could have designed a much smaller 5.5" phone, they simply chose not to. It's almost as if they said "you wouldn't shut up about a bigger phone, so here" and just kind of dropped the Plus on us. The G3 and Moto X (2013) are perfect examples of phones that are very manageable for their size.

Apple could have done much better here. It's still about the size of the OnePlus One, and I'm okay with that. But for a company that usually chooses form over function, I'm surprised that they didn't put forth a better effort to make it more compact.

That being said, I'd still choose the Plus for the bigger battery and OIS. It's just a shame that you can't have that in the 6.

If my large hands don't agree, I'll simply send it back.

My 6 Plus is is out for Delivery in Atlanta. As long as it's "pocketable", I'm keeping it. I'm a guy and I carry my phone in my pocket all day. Got the black leather case from Apple last night. I was expecting a shock when I opened the package, but to my surprise the size looks fairly normal to my eyes. But, I'm 6' tall, have a size 14 ring finger, a wrist so large....can't wear a regular watch band and can palm a basketball. So, a 6 plus fits me very well.

So, if it's pocketable, I'm keeping it. Then I'll just have to deal with the enevitable "Is that an iPhone 6 plus in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me" comments.

If she can do it, anyone can.

I was primed and ready to get a 6 plus in my verizon store this morning. They had 16 silver 6 Pluses. I went and held the demo phone and saw first hand how big the phone actually is. I changed to the 6. Just my preference.

That's pretty much how i'm looking at it. I think once the size sets in, there will be more people wanting to get rid of their iPads in the next few years and just travel with their phones. Leaving my iPad and wallet in the house will be a beautiful thing!!

To say you're not man enough to have a plus is stupid. So if you don't drive a truck, you're not man enough? Clearly it's about preference. Come on guys, it's getting old.

Here we go. First it's not big enough then it's too big. Yes what she said. That's why it comes in two different options!

For security I always use two hands, not sure why anyone would use one and risk dropping the phone or misdialing.

BTW Ladies, take note of the OPs observation too…. just saying…

The 2013 X is not 5,5 its 4,7..

So my pre-orders for the 6 and 6 Plus 64GB both arrived today.. and I am glad I bought both.

I demo'd a Galaxy Note 3 and thought I would be okay with the 6 Plus, but I find it's just too heavy and too large to be able to use at the same speed and comfort that I can use my 5 at.

With the 6, I can reach the edges of the screen fine, and it's not noticeably heavier than my 5. With the 6 Plus, it's considerably heavier, and impossible to reach all buttons without overstretching or using another hand - to the point where after 10 minutes of use I found it uncomfortable and sore.

I'm going to be putting my 6 Plus on eBay I think. I really LOVE the screen and camera, and the battery life enhancements are what encouraged me to buy the 6 Plus in the first place, but I don't think I can deal with this!

Anybody else care to share their opinion?

I owned the Note 3 for six months and after the initial shock I started to love the size. If you're being sincere and not just trying to stir the pot, I'd recommend giving it some time to be sure. If it isn't for you, why not just return it? Part of the problem with everyone getting phones is all this buying/scalping going on with eBay.

The 6+ is 1/4 longer than the Note 3, significant difference. My wife is coming from a Note 3 and that size I would jumped on.

People will soon realize that carrying a 6 (and not a 6+) means you have small hands, feet, pants etc. It will be a dead giveaway in terms of the size of other appendages that a potential partner may be curious about.

I was making a point, genius.

"The G3 and Moto X (2013) are perfect examples of phones that are very manageable for their size.:

Reading comprehension is your friend.

1/4" is not significant to me, but to each their own.

The Note 4 is longer than the Note 3...about .18" shorter than the 6+
