After removing the screen protector, did you notice any scratches on the iPhone glass caused by the trapped dust and debris?
Luckily I have no scratches. I have another one being sent to me but I'm not risking it. Gonna stick with the pet film until something proven to be for the 6s comes out that doesn't have a halo

Hi,

I'm looking for a screen protector which also hinders "sideview" for privacy during meetings. I got the iphone 6s gold - which is white innthe front... I only found ugly black screen guards on amazon. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks

Ran into this issue with my nexus 6 before getting an iphone. No screen protector is going to fit perfectly on a curved screen period. As mention the ones with the black borders only hide the halo which is nice but they are there trust me. I used Intelliarmor on my nexus 6 which was the best fit out of all the others for a curved screen.

Looks just like the Daswise but they have excellent customer service.

Hi all - Like most of you, I've been dealing with this glass/halo issue as well, with my iPhone 6S. I've tried all the major brands and a handful of off-brands. I've had some minor success, but all in all, most had some form of nagging issue. I have OCD, diagnosed and medicated. So finding this mystical screen protector has been a headache. Well, I read a tip on another forum that someone had some great success from an off-brand at one the stores I absolutely hate the most - Walmart. Loathe doesn't quite do it justice for how much I hate Walmart.

None the less, I decided to give it a shot. It's a $9 glass screen protector by the brand, Tzumi (Don't bother going to the website, its rubbish). The full name being the Tzumi ProGlass. Comes in a little tin. Funny enough, all the Zagg screens were gone, but I saw about 50 of these. So, I picked up 3 and decided to give it a shot.

I'm shocked. First, it comes with this little installation plastic track/guide thing you slide onto the bottom of your iPhone. You simply line the glass up to the bottom of the track and let it drop. Effortless. You can tell they actually modified this screen protector a tiny bit for the 6S (There were stickers on mine that said "Also works with the new 6S") as they trimmed a little fat off the top and bottom of the glass. Absolutely ZERO Halo. While its not an E2E style, its a stunning normal glass sp. It adhered perfectly, not a single bubble or raised edge.

Anyway, just wanted to pass this along to you guys. Maybe you'll have some success with it like I did. It's not on Walmarts website though, oddly enough. It's on Amazon though, link below.

Link to Amazon version for reference.

Plus / S Plus Model: It seems some viewers below have seen a Plus version as well! At Marshalls. I did not see a Plus version at Walmart.

On a sad note: I'm not seeing this brand making one for the Plus or S Plus, weird.

I actually picked this up a few days ago since it was only $9. I have not used it yet because the wife and I got a set of two TGSP from amazon for cheap. But I actually used the guide from the walmart one to apply the amazon ones and it worked like a charm. I was really surprised that walmart had this and for such a low price, unfortunately they are all gone now. I was going to buy a few as backups.

I just went to Marshalls where i saw the tzumi tempered glass for the iphone 6 plus. I have an iphone 6S plus and all i can say is that finally i found a screen protector that it does not have the halo on the sides of the screen. Thanks to Autokon for sharing his findings, and after trying a lot of brands this is the only one that really works. The one i bought came in an aluminum box and it had on the front for iphone 6 plus. However, it worked perfectly on my 6S plus. My local walmart did not have the product but Marshalls sells it as well, for $9.99. Everybody who wants a perfect screen protector made of glass should try these ones on the new iphones.

YES! Awesome news to hear! And yay for a Plus version that I hadn't seen. Glad to hear its working as well for me as it is for you. I actually went back today and picked up a few for backups, just in case. But, so far, its been perfection.

Any pics w/ the tzumi on? I may replace my daswise as I'm a lil scared of all the dust and such under the glass.

Yep.

Just put on the plastic screen protector (Jtech) I got off of Amazon and can confirm the same halo issue.

Guess I'll have to look for a wet install screen protector as my last resort and hope for the best?

:(

Unfortunately no screen protector currently in existence is properly made to fit the slightly more curved screen of the 6s/6s+. Not daswise, not icemax, not spigen, NONE of them avoid the halo gap around the edges.

The only reason people think Daswise (or others like it) work is because it has a colored border so the halo gap around the border doesn't show through. But it's definitely there, accumulating a bunch of dust / grit which could potentially scratch the screen, and will show up once you take the protector off.

Cinder?

This is how it looks on my 6S plus.

This is how it looks on my 6S plus.
How funny! I saw one of these at my local WalMart and thought "No way is this peice of crap going to fit." So far that's the only one that does properly hahaha. I'm going to have to check it out. Thanks for the information!

I replaced the Daswise w/ the tzumi. After seeing how dirt and grime accumulates underneath the Daswise pic on the last page - it freaked me out. I ran to Marshalls and picked up the tzumi.

Yeah for the most part. There are a few small parts where it's not sticking, most noticeably around the ear hole

Ok so this AM I noticed a small speck of dust underneath the tzumi glass. After lifting the corner and removing the dust I noticed that the corner I lifted had lost the "static/adhesiveness" to stick to the glass.

Good thing I bought 2 yesterday - installed the 2nd one and it was even worse then the 1st.
The 2nd one:
  1. Ear hole same issue as 1st
  2. Specks of haloing/edging all around the screen
  3. Same issue w/ the lost of "static/adhesiveness" when lifting
  4. This one didn't seem to be cut properly
I had high hopes, but I gotta say IMO the Daswise was better. At least the border hid the edging. I'll be returning these 2 to Marshalls and I may rebuy the Daswise.

Sadly, tzumi still has halo on my 6S+. I bought 2 and both do not seem to bond on edges. Kudos for actually trying though...I can get it to seal, but within a minute the edges all halo again. Bummed about this, but further confirms to me that there is variability from screen to screen between phones (S to S). Even more odd is that one edge (right) seems to halo even more. Some pluses though; the installation tools provided are probably the best I have ever used for a protector. Anyway...back to PET and continue the hunt....

Reading through this thread I see a quite a few people are sticking to PET film protectors until some glass protectors specifically for the 6S/6S+ are released. I've just ordered a couple of Tzumi protectors which will hopefully fit my 6S without haloing, but just in case can anyone recommend a good PET film protector for 6S? What have people been using?

Spigen and ICarez both fit and are ok for plastic.

Zagg HDX and Tech 21 both work with the 6S. Tech 21 being the best but more expensive. Apple stores and Tmobile stock the Tech 21. I have had one on my phone for a month with no issues. Not as good as glass but better than regular plastic...and no halo or adhering issues.

Since I'm "glass-less" I found a matte privacy screen protector that I bought for my wife last yr that she didn't want. I'm using for the time being and aside for it hindering the retina display - I like it.

I did buy a Nillkin glass on eBay today, should be here in a couple weeks.
I had a Nillkin on my 6 and it was flawless. Hoping the same for the 6S Plus. If not I'll rebuy a Daswise and call it a day.

:D When I picked my iPhone up at Verizon, I just wanted anything that was glass from the shelf to protect my iPhone until I found another. Verizon clerk took one off the wall display, installed it onsight, and I haven't put another glass screen protector on since. NO HALO Effect, not scratches either. Very happy. You guys are going to a lot of trouble to find the so called perfect screen protector with no halo :D

Don't remember which ones he picked, didn't care either. Around $11.00

I'm assuming your phone is a 6s or 6s Plus?
