After you click pay in full, when you go to check out, the first screen is inputting your phone number, billing zip, and last four of SSN.

Okay, so in another thread (since deleted) someone had posted that to get a phone that will work on at&t plus verizon and t-mobile, one should buy the t-mobile phone. Can you do that without an t-mobile account?

So whats stopping your from ordering from the AT&T site full price and entering in your account information?

Well its a pretty well known fact that Premier gets absolutely swamped on iphone preorders. Also, premier customers cannot order through the ATT website. They have to order through the actual premier store, which is an absolute cluster F on preorder day.

That being said, full price tmo on the apple site requires NO account info so I might just go with that. Just sharing that you can't order through apple even with off contract pricing if you're premier.

How are you getting past the check out point? Select button is inactive.

Test run with the iPhone 6. Im assuming the order process would be the same with the 6S

No - when you select PAY IN FULL on an iPhone 6 (or 5, for that matter), the next screen still requires wireless account info. Pay-in-full for a carrier-linked phone does not get you an unlocked phone (you have to request the unlock). SIM-free for iPhone 6 is the only way to get a phone in your cart without inputting your wireless account info, and all signs point to NO SIM-free 6s being available at launch.

So to get an unlocked one pick the T-Mobile one (GSM) (Buy a Contract Free Phone) ? I have a no contract AT&T plan.

What? Did you try what I wrote? See attached. First two photos are doing a check out with an iphone 6 on tmo and then the last two are checking out with a att off contract pricing iphone 6. Also, my last two purchased phones were a off contract tmo and it came unlocked so maybe i'm not understanding what you're saying?

t-mobile is the only one you can buy outright no matter who your carrier is or if you are on pre-paid. You are right, just like your photo. It will let you buy the tmobile one tonight and it will be unlocked.

Exactly, not sure what the other poster was referring to. I was just mentioning that tmo is the only one that doesn't require account info. Even if you purchase the others on off contract pricing, account info is required.

Even if you put in your account info, is the phone unlocked?

How come the other carriers require account info, even when purchasing at full price?

B.c they do not want to sell a phone to non-customers. That is the only reason.

Okay, SO if i am on AT&T NO Contract Plan Data Share Plan (Want to Keep It), Want an Unlocked Phone tonight, Which one do i Get? T mobile or AT&T paid in full So it does not affect my plan.....

I don't mind having to plug my account info in (AT&T). I only care if it's going to give me some BS about having to pay a Next plan off.

either one will work for you.

Successfully ordered a 6s+ silver 128gb on verizon paying full price and kept my unlimited data plan via the Apple Store.

Apple's site said there would be a $40 upgrade fee charged by verizon, which is wrong. Upgrade fee only applies if you accept a subsidy per Verizon's FAQ. I'll have to wait for the next statement to make sure I wasn't actually charged.

I bought mine last year, full price, day one, directly from verizon, despite not being a verizon customer. Between apple and verizon there doesn't seem to be an option to that anymore.

You would think after 9 years of selling this phone they would just offer this by now.

either one will work for you.

Forgive my ignorance because I am new to iPhones.

What about the info posted here http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/? It shows two different models:
1. A1633 which lists At&t and Cricket and
2. A1638 which lists Sprint, Tmobile, and Verizon.

I'm a prepaid Cricket (at&t subsidy) and I purchased the contract free T-mobile phone because I assumed it was unlocked and i could pop my cricket sim in and it would work. A rep told me I would have to activate it with one of the four major carriers first. This made no sense to me since there are two different models and neither one of them support all four networks.

Where is this info? When you check out via apple store, it will let you buy a full price unlocked T-Mobile phone without being a customer but it very clearly lists it as GSM only. I always thought the only model you could by that is unlocked and works on all carriers was the Verizon model.

Can't buy iPhone 6s at FULL retail on verizon's site and KEEP UNL data. I had to go thru APPLE and select Tmobile. On Verizon's site it wouldnt let me keep my UNL data kept making me choose a 2GB data plan or higher. Because I've had an upgrade avail since 2013 and haven't used it.
