Yep, I'm still having a problem after I thought it was getting better. Extremely, extremely frustrating.

I only experienced it the first evening I had the phone. Today it is working perfectly. Whatever it was appears to have been temporary and certainly has nothing to do with the hardware.

Have you guys had this happen?

The top menu bar with signal strength, battery, etc. stays black during the log in process and a couple seconds after it takes your fingerprint while the rest of the phone opens up? I mean, normally when it is locked, it shouldn't even be black at the top. Thanks!!

Mine only lagged while the apps were reloading during the iTunes restore from backup.

Otherwise I've been totally blown away by the performance of this device. Apple did a good job with this one and it will be a challenge for them to come up with an incentive to get the iPhone 7. This thing is so fast and smooth.

I agree. The performance is amazing and the increased RAM definitely makes a big difference when switching between apps.

Just found this thread. I'm having the exact same issue on my 6s. Mainly happens when I unlock my phone with the home button using Touch ID. Hoping it's a software issue as well.

Having exactly the same issue. Lag/delay after touch ID unlock.

First 6S Plus I bought did it, showed the store and they gave me a new one. This one however also has the same issue. :/

I have this issue also... It has actually gotten worse on Day 2.
(NOTE: I'm not a serial complainer or the type of person who looks for issues/problems, but this is definitely a noticeable issue for me)

lol bend gate.. are you kiding this isn't even comparable to people bending their phones and going "omg it bent"

At worst it's a software problem and isn't affecting everyone. My phone has been working beautifully all day and still fine. It was only for those first few hours that I noticed any slowness.

Just had this happen. Thought it was strange.

The ironic thing is that iOS 9 was suppose to be all about refinement, quality, speed, bug fixes, etc.. and yet this is the buggiest iOS I've seen released (not counting betas).

Sorry that this is happening but nothing I have heard so far would cause me to cancel my order. Try dealing with the abomination called Android and Samsung for the past 10 months and nothing here seems so bad.

Well no reason to cancel since this is a just a software issue that I'm sure will be fixed in the next update (hopefully soon).

Don't cancel especially since you may not have this problem after the first day. It's definitely a software issue affecting some users. I bet most are like me with no problem, but people are far more likely to post about a problem than about something working properly. So it appears like the problem is more widespread than it actually is.

I'm spectacularly liable to comment on faults if they exist but even whilst downloading & installing an iCloud backup and indexing, my 6S+ isn't lagging at all.

I had the same issues a day or two after restoring from a 5s backup. It's now gone completely and it's smooth as ever.
It seems like a iOS bug/issue though but looks like it goes away after a while.

Probably not related at all but I disabled 3D touch, rebooted and enabled it again and from there on it worked flawless but it most likely just a coincidence that it went away at that time.

Same here - iPhone 6S 64 GB and fresh iOS9 without restore. Had multiple times a lag after TouchID unlock. Even more strange is that my settings application sometimes freezes or even crashes.
