Me too, 6S+ 128GB, installed as new, the lag always appears after TouchID unlock.

Definitely #UNLOCKGATE

I suggest hopping on ios 9.1 Beta 2 public release for now. irons out all the unlock lag.

Tested it for 1 day with unlocking after phone idle for sometime. going well so far

If it was the OS on its own though then surely everyone would be affected. It must be a combination of the OS and something else. Mine as been as fast and smooth from day 1. Did a restore from my back up and everything was up and running within the hour. Grease lightning with everything I do.
It's has to be more than just the OS

Do u experience any lag when unlocking your phone?

6S Plus here, did notice the lag/freeze after setting up, but after rebooting the device, no more lag/freeze issue here.

I'm still having the login lag from time to time. The lag only seems to occur when the device has been sitting idle. I originally did a clean install and like some others I had a 2 second delay when logging in with touch id. When I log in the screen is unresponsive to touch and the status bar is missing (not black like some, just missing). Everything else (icons, wallpaper) shows up immediately. After a couple of seconds the status bar shows up and the device is responsive.

Yesterday, I clean installed it again. The device still experiences login delay from time to time. Seems to only do it after it has been sitting idle but not all the time. Seems to be less frequent and sometimes the delay is only a fraction of a second. I'm going to give it a few days to see if it clears itself up.

That is the exact problem that all of us are facing.

Could you try this? Disable 3D touch, reboot the device. Monitor from there.

I can't do that cause i am on 9.1 Beta 2 and the lag isn't happening.

I have a 6s 128. Setup as new. Have 12k iCloud photos and a hundred something apps. Had serious lag/freezing. However at around 24 hrs from setup it disappeared. So mine seems to have been likely from indexing.

Sorry that this is happening but nothing I have heard so far would cause me to cancel my order. Try dealing with the abomination called Android and Samsung for the past 10 months and nothing here seems so bad.
Agreed. I'm done with android and Samsung after using them.

I don't have lag, except sometimes my screen freezes in landscape mode and won't go back to portrait when I switch the iPhone orientation. Anyone else?

Do u experience any lag when unlocking your phone?
nope. Its instant. If my phone has been sitting idle i push the button and the lock screen comes up, touch the home button and the phone springs to life instantly. Less than a second from asleep to the home screen. Touch id is so fast...almost too fast.

Seem to be a lot of 128gb phones affected here, like me.

Anyone with non 128gb having the same issue?

Mine was lagging just as everyone describes. Mainly when unlocked the phone.

However, since about 5pm Central yesterday, it has stopped. Possibly just had to finish loading everything? Very weird.

I restored to a fresh copy of 9.0.1 and haven't had any issues since. Now THIS is the experience I was hoping for/expecting of the 6S.

That's been my experience as well. Dunno why others are having problems at this point.

How did you get a "fresh copy"? Sorry for the ignorance
Turn off phone off. Hold home button and plug in lightning cable (that's connected to your computer). iTunes will recognize your phone and it will now be in recovery mode. Click "restore" :)

I've had some too. SLOW opening some stock apps (camera), frozen delays etc. Fresh device and OS. An update will fix it. I've got the second beta of 9.1 on a 5S. Lets hope that addresses it soon.

Was just about to start a new thread and found this one.

There is definitely a bug in iOS 9 that is causing this freeze/stutter. Mine phone always freezes for a few seconds right after unlocking/touch id.

Hopefully Apple fixes soon.

Anyone on 9.1 seeing anything similar?
How do you know it's software and not hardware?

For it to be hardware it would affect all users, like a malfunctioning cpu would not work for some but not for others . Fundamentals of engineering design and logic

On another note: am I supposed to believe someone who joined yesterday with that profile photo as serious
