Doesn't do anything for me. Still there

That's disappointing to hear, was thinking the beta was my last ray of hope. Mine has been this way since launch...

It may be going away for some, but not all of us!

6S+, set up as new (no backup restored), some lags sometimes (a bit less than in the beginning though) and some freezes, mainly when going back to home screen.
Also today i swiped from lock screen to tale a picture and the camera app stayed frozen for like 5seconds before being usuabl

I really hope it's an software issue, because still have it on my 6S Plus after 2 days (freeze after unlock for a few seconds and when I go back to home screen). And I did a fresh install. So hopefully they'll fix it soon.

I disabled 3d touch and the a delay still exists. I also disabled touch id for unlock and that seemed to fix the problem. However, it takes longer to unlock by entering my access code. The 2 second unresponsiveness on the home screen is random and not consistent when using touch id to log into home screen. Other than the 2 second unlock lag the phone runs great. The unlock is so damn fast. Before my 6s I could push the home button real quick to see the lock screen. Now pushing quickly takes me to the home screen. I cannot use a registered finger to check the time on the lock screen anymore. Not sure if this is the issue or not.

It's all due to how fast the fingerprint sensor is...the software is just trying to catch up :p

It will get fixed, it's not like it stops you from enjoying the device. Relax, breath, and move on. If you don't like it, take your phone back and wait until they fix it. This stuff happens with first release of products. Wait a month and the kinks are generally resolved.

Why not just use your knuckle instead of your finger?

You failed to realize that for most it goes away , for remaining it either remains or goes away with OS restore

All of which indicates indexing and software not hardware. If it was a hardware issue for some then it wouldn't go away by itself or by a restore

Come on think logically
It remains to be seen if all is cured with time. Too soon to make strong assumptions and be condescending.

Count me in on the stutter, froze up, mess. I have everything turned off (location, spotlight, 3D Touch, Apple Music etc)

No change for me, even a reboot didn't fix it
Ugh, was hoping stuttering problems would be gone with this phone. iOS 8 on the 6 Plus was the worst iOS experience I have ever had.

I did another restore today, so far so good. I am not sure what might have happened, I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch so to speak

The phone is fast. After a few more releases of iOS 9 it should be rock solid. (I hope)

I hoped the same with iOS 8. I think it was due to the 1 GB of RAM though.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with the issue of the phone hanging after unlocking with Touch ID almost every time

Resetting Network settings worked for me. Looks like a previous install of Weblock caused it (like someone mentioned early on in the thread).

Are your referring to resetting the network settings fixed the unlock lag or just lag with the system in general?

My lag seemed to be when unlocking the phone mostly... and it seemed related to the phone trying to unlock and rotate screen at the same time. I've locked the vertical screen orientation and not had the issue since.

Was a fresh install on 9.0, then updated to 9.01 prior to setting anything up

Just tried this, let it sit idle and unlocked again; no dice. :(

I had some of the lag and freezing that people are talking about on Friday night after restoring from my iPhone 6 backup, but beginning on Saturday morning that had disappeared. It was probably just doing a ton of indexing and so forth that was slowing it down for a few hours. This 6s Plus is noticeably smoother and faster than the 6 that I had ever was.

I have had exactly the same experience here. The only hiccup was that my new phone didn't 'see' my iCloud backup, so I had to backup my old phone with iTunes and then restore to the 6s plus. That worked well and everything is back the way it was except now it's a lot snappier.
