Unlocking the phone, scrolling down data-heavy websites with a ton of photos? How about rotating from portrait to landscape? Oh and does the multitasking tray stick in portrait still and not switch to landscape when you rotate the phone?
Butter. Butter. Butter. Butter.

I am noticing sometimes if you don't use the phone for a period of time, it's more prevalent. If you are constantly using it, it's not nearly as bad.

Then again, who knows.

If it's not all users it's the setup for the software if it were all users it would be the phone

Some people swear blind that the 6+is buttery smooth and that 1GB of RAM is plenty, so it's not so cut and dried unfortunately.

I'm going to wait for my phone to finish downloading from the cloud, and than I'll upgrade to 9.1 and see what's going on. If anything, I'll wipe the entire phone and do a restore from an older back up than my most previous which was restored from 9.0

I moved from an iPhone 6 to the 6S Plus and have been using the last couple of hours. I'm not experiencing any lag. Touch ID speed is insane and overall is noticeably faster doing anything compared with my iPhone 6. Glad I went with the larger screen.

6s+ restored from a 6.

Had the freezes, most often immediately after unlock. Very annoying and never happened on my 6 before or after iOS 9.

I have an Apple Watch so I don't really want to setup as new and lose that data, but I did do a reset all settings.

I have been getting less freezes (it seems , I haven't counted but I was messaging with a friend about baseball all night) - but it still happens.

I have time to return if I really want to, I'll have to see. I really hate it when expensive purchases don't work right - especially when it's a much faster product.

I was getting this for my first 12 hours with the phone. Haven't had it since. Hopefully it clears up for everyone.

Maybe there's some background process running on some peoples' phones that is causing slowdowns. Something running when the phone is idle may be causing the slowdowns for the first few seconds when you start using it again.

Can the mods make this into a front page article to put some spot light on this issue? I've had ever single iPhone since launch and never seen an issue this bad...

Maybe I am misunderstanding. They acknowledged an issue and required you to pay to replace? Or was the screen already fracked?
The screen was cracked. I dropped it on Friday and it shattered. I scheduled an appointment for Sunday and when the restore of my jailbroken iPhone did not go as they expected they blamed it on problems with iOS 9 and instead of replacing my screen they gave me a brand new replacement iPhone for the cost of the screen repair.

I did not have Applecare and $140 was cheaper than the $200 my carrier insurance would have charged me.

Was hoping for this as well. Many people are having the issue and in several threads.

So I am noticing a few things on my new 6S Plus.

If I am on the lock screen and unlock, sometimes it acts like it didn't take and sits there for a second and boom, it then unlocks. Also noticed that sometimes when I unlock, the screen is frozen for a second after unlock and the bar with the info at the top is missing then comes back after it unfreezes.

I am assuming this is a software issue right now and hopefully it will get worked out. It's very weird.

I restored from a backup, from iTunes.
6s here, same restore method, same exact problem but it seems to freeze for about 10 seconds in some cases. Only seems to happen if I leave it alone for about 20 minutes.

Yup. I noticed if you don't use the phone for a bit, it's more pronounced/freezes longer. It's not as pronounced or happens at all if the phone is being used for a bit.

Ah that makes sense lol. The way I read it was the charges you to replace an otherwise perfect phone, which would be awful.

I got my iPhone 6s today from Rogers. I noticed that the screen top part has a black shadow underneath as if it is a wire hanging or something. When I press on that area it fluctuates the shadow. Another issue I am facing is if I am on wifi or not and the phone is on standby mode, and I use Touch ID to enter the phone, the screen stays black as if it is on standby. I click the switch off button and it makes the noise of shutting the screen. I use Touch ID again and it works. I there an issue with my screen?

Thanks.
