I have a Samsung CPU on my Plus & have yet to notice these great issues?

I am left scratching my head at these tales of lag & other issues because I just can't see them?

Yeah, the 6S+ flies. The only lag I've ever seen was when unlocking, a small delay until the homescreen appears. That went though.

Seen another thread looks like same build number. But if you're like me and have att and lost number sync. The way you get it back is going to general. About. Then you should recieve prompt for carrier update. Got mines back up and running. Very useful feature I often have iPad in my home more so while away from iPhone I can still make calls if need be.

I've installed 9.2. It'll probably take a day for it to stabilize so I can see if the unlock lag is fixed.

Strangely, I haven't noticed it much lately. I don't know why though.

First thing I noticed was that 9.2 seems to have fixed the animation frame rate on the 6S+ here. Seems to be 60fps as opposed to 30fps now. It's just as smooth as the 6S now for me.

Well it's only been about 6 hours, but it's starting to look like the unlock lag is gone. I haven't seen it since I've updated.

9.2 has been very smooth so far. My freezing was already resolved but I still had occasional lag and split second glitches in animations. I haven't noticed any notable lag since 9.2.

I have the same exact unlock lag (delay before status bar appears) I had before updating. It's not bad (less than a second) - just annoying.

Status bar disappearing doesn't mean that the phone lags!!!

Yes. My status bar still disappears briefly (it does sometimes on my iPad Air 2 as well), but there is no unlock lag anymore. Previously the phone would hang for a few seconds.

It's been over 24 hours since I installed. I'm hesitant to call it "fixed", but the lag is gone for me so far.

My status takes a split second to reappear from time to time when unlocking but the screen is immediately responsive. Seems to be UI glitch that's different from the horrendous multiple second touchscreen not working bug that is documented throughout this thread.

As an aside, 9.2 is much smoother with respect to animations. 6S+ is now running at 60 FPS (or pretty close to it).

You're one of the lucky ones.

I don't really believe in luck when it comes to technology. There is definitely something going on here, but not sure what it is. I think its possibly a situation where there are a half dozen different actual problems that are all being mixed up and discussed in this thread as if they are one thing. Some I believe are related to the combination of configuration/apps in place on the phone. Others are siting that they can get the problem to go away by going through a sequence of reloading a certain way. Others say they haven't... possibly there some defective phones in the mix.

My screen is completely unresponsive until the status bar appears. But it always appears in less than a second, so it's not a huge deal.

Im now on my third iPhone 6s because of multiple problems. The first two I had started out with the lag after unlock. I wasn't able to do anything on my phone for 5-10 seconds. It eventually just went away after a couple days but returned them bc of display issues. My third, that I currently have, also had the lag after unlock issue but this time the lag didn't go away. I restored my phone through iTunes yesterday and upgraded to the iOS 9.2 and so far (knock on wood) there has been no lag. Phone seems a tad faster and much smoother as well. I'd say if your suffering from any sort of lag, to try the new iOS update.
