Can you try to capture and show the issue here on MR? Or is it something that is not easily reproduced? And 5min later sitting in the same car the screen is cool white again? i dont think that the sunlight spectrum changes so quickly. Last time it happened i was walking on the street. And abit later the screen was fine again - and no, the ambient light didnt change on that street either during that few minutes.
and i have seen this happens only twice and when it has happened the screen was pink (you cant see the real pinkish hue on the pic though but you can see that it isnt cool white either). Normally the screen in my iphone is cool white.
there is no "making an issue" when you see that the screen is remarkably differend in colours than it was few minutes ago...
Yellowgate has been in existence for a long time so it's nothing new.To be honest i'm wondering if there's not a problem with the manufacturing of the last generation Iphone screen ? A kind of bendgate but applied to the screen, a "yellowgate" in fact.
No better screens. The one from the iphone6 is still superior.
Exactly the same for me.Both in my case.
6 = better contrast, brighter and no yellow tint
For example, my 6 screen wasn't uniform, but my 6s+ is, and not yellow.
I don't think its an issue to be honest. Some people prefer the White balance to lean towards the Blue side, some the yellow side. You can't please everyone and like Sunking101 above, I find the colour temperature of the screen changes with ambient light anyway. It's never consistent.
Here's my iPhone 6S Plus. Left side was taken under fluorescent lighting, the right incandescent lighting. Same phone, same App. Very Blue colder white balance on the left. Much warmer on the right.

That's my screen. I am enjoying it. Tbh, if you could live with that pink blotch on your iphone 6 i don't see how your new phone will bother you in any way or form.I would like to ask if it is possibile to get better screen than this one. I don't want to waste my time on swapping my iPhone on and on, so if warm screen is just a iP6S's "feature" I will stay with this phone.
The phone on the left is iP6, on the right is my new iP6S:

The right side is basically how my screen is all the time. I like the warmer tint.I don't think its an issue to be honest. I think that happens the same to me. Do you use the auto-brightness?
Couple of other posters in this thread have touched on this. Hard luck..Oh my god... I am confused.. I think surely that my iphone 6s change the color temprature automatically depending on ambient light!!! Sometimes the same screen is white sometimes it is beige with auto-brigthness off and at the same level [ under 50%]!!! WTF!!!
That looks a great seen from that picture. Not bothered by slightly warmer yellow screens, but your new phone produces a very clean white, not the blue tint white stuff either. Looks like you won the lottery after one exchange. Some on here have done six returns and gave up.Hey everyone.
After confirming the yellow tint was an issue by reading this thread ( I thought it was my eyes jaundice or something!) I exchanged my 6s for a new one through Apple. Both of the devices have serial number beginning in F,but you can see the difference in the photo. There is hope out there!
