Did it happen when you stared for a while at different colors of screens using an app like dead spotter to check on it? Because then it's your eyes and brains acting up.

Otherwise no, can't say that has happened to me.

No it was in the morning.. At home reading news it was fine, white was white etc. I took it out of my pocket on the street and the screen was reddish (white was like pink). Maybe some error, havent seen it again.

both at about half brightness since my camera didnt seem to show it well at a good brightness even though my eye could easily, 6s+ vs 5s

October 2015 5s build date, proof that yellow screens don't get better as production goes on -- the 5s has been out for 2 years now as you know :O

Sounds like the colour temp of your display went crazy warm for a while. Mine goes exceptionally cool on occasion.

Seriously, i love your fix (i used your same values to change the color of the screen, very hard to get the number right), it took me a while to figure it out how to install it with Xcode (with the widget added in 1.0.2) but now it's up and running perfectly!

Thanks!

I have spent the last day to finally compile and export the app to my iphone, but when i run it it makes my screen yellow and then crashes.
what am i supposed to do?

Half of your 6S+ matches your 5S :p

Really ya think?

Here's at 100% brightness, a more representative pic, and with a dash of color profiles applied while 5s is stock but it looks like flux is on it haha (the second slider in the middle is the stock calibration for 6s+, I cooled it off a little bit and added bold to make colors look more saturated, I do so on my air2 as well but my air2 is still cooler than my 6s+ side by side. Not so much to warrant doing a swap, and being on a version thats 9.1 potentially (not jail breakable) and/or with issues i'm not having on this one:

The upper left is just a tad warmer than the rest of the phone. Probably not noticeable in your daily use so enjoy your phone!

Yeah upper left has been problematic on all three 6s+ I had. First two yellow blotch this one just a little warmer but also some dead pixels/white blotchiness. I'll take it over another yellow blotch!

The phone on the left looks like it has the yellow to blue colour shift, left to right. My phone has this too. Annoying when reading text.

My goodness, that upper left blotch of yellow looks terrible...

Hello, my first post here on the macrumors forum.

Here are two pics of mine. I would like to know if you think it's uneven or have any kind of tint.

Thank you!

Edit: Maybe the notes are not the best place to take a photo since its background isnt pure white, but i think you can have an idea.

This is what ALL SCREENS should look like.

Wow, congratulations! That screen looks flawless.

I just got a 5s, and yellow screen. As yellow as my last 5.
I managed to install Goodnight app from Xcode, and i can say it helps but it doesnt fix the issue.
if the next iphones still have this issue I guess I will return each one of them until i get one with a white screen. There is no way they can get away with this.

Also, my retina screen is yellowish as well, partially fixed changing the white point.

I miss the old days when samsung had the warm colors and apple phones the cold ones.

It's only my own theory, but I think newer iOS along with OS X is supposed to look "yellower."... I installed El Cap on partition on my mid 2009 MBP, and I can see the screen turning from cold blue-ish white to warm yellow right before loading the El Cap login screen.

That being said, however, that doesn't explain why some iPhones and MBP's have whiter screens...

I'd actually prefer a yellow screen at this point, mine is super-cool and often has a very blue tint to it depending on the time of day/ambient lighting.

I don't think its an issue to be honest. Some people prefer the White balance to lean towards the Blue side, some the yellow side. You can't please everyone and like Sunking101 above, I find the colour temperature of the screen changes with ambient light anyway. It's never consistent.

Here's my iPhone 6S Plus. Left side was taken under fluorescent lighting, the right incandescent lighting. Same phone, same App. Very Blue colder white balance on the left. Much warmer on the right.
