I called in, and they changed the Standard Shipping to 2-3 Business days.
It gave me, Oct 7 - 10, like the UK users. I was originally Oct 8 - 11. So one day difference. However get this, Oct 11 is Friday. If by chance UPS misses delivery on the 11th, I am SOL till Monday the 14th. However by getting one day earlier, I have two opportunities before the weekend... The CSR said, "Oh, I didn't even look at what day it delivers, that's a smart move."
Anyway, free upgrade. I made discussion about the cases, not knowing how they will stand the test of time and I'm being a little coy about it. Nope, no bites. Sigh.
I don't think I am entitled. I may ask for something, but I will accept what they are willing to address.

Guys, should have thought twice before requesting for shipping upgrade. I did the same thing a few days ago (am in the 7-10 group and now with 10/7-10/10 delivery instead of 10/8-10/11). After I did that I saw posts discussing how making changes to your order may put you further back in the queue. I originally placed my order on Apple online store at 12.05am so I'd like to think my order was more likely to be processed in this group. Now I regret I might have jeopardized my spot because of the change I made, as that could translate into many more days of processing time in exchanging for ONE day saving in shipping.
I don't think that affects anything. I called and upgraded my shipping and my order was one if the first of the 7-10 day group to ship.
I agree, I think it's all okay. I still haven't prepped for shipping and I was in an out before 12:10am on 9/20 :/ it'll ship when it ships
I don't understand. iPhone had to be delivered on 04/10 (according to what was written on UPS) while Apple gave as estimated date of delivery day 8/10. Now the date has changed on the site Ups (without any kind of problem in shipping) to day 08/10. is absurd. too long for a direct shipment to a European capital (France)
Tracking information has since been updated and I've managed to bring up my tracking in UPS. Says the order left Shenzhen this evening and expected delivery is 2/10/13. Does this mean my phone will be delivered to my house on Wednesday?! Apple still quoting 7th but tracking on Apple's website says Wednesday too.

Mine saying the delivery is running on time with 2nd delivery.
Is it possible ups can give a wrong date? it is not possible to arrive in France it takes 9 days
I'm not even going to bother checking since it appears there has been no changes for anyone. So, if we don't get the "preparing for shipment" status today that likely means it wont ship till' next week, due to the National Holiday, right? But then wouldn't that be beyond the 7-10 day shipping window Apple gave us?
The holiday starts on Tuesday. And no that's not what that means. Iprepping for shipment is usually one of the shorter phases.
