Got shipment email this morning and phone is leaving china. Fingers crossed I receive it by Friday. Says delivered by end of day Monday tho.

I actually get better speeds in my downtown office in Orlando than AT&T but slightly lower LTE speeds at home (OK because I have wifi), so I think it entirely depends on where you are. I'm sure the nationwide coverage is not as great, but I don't travel for business often, so I am not too worried, and a family plan is going to be like half the price, no contract and free hot spot, so I can't complain.

Well...their nationwide might be better than you think, back in July i was travelling was all over New Mexico, Michigan, IL, and Wisconsin...T-mobile has roaming agreements with ATT and others....where there wasnt a tmo signal i usually was able to roam with others (be aware while roaming data is not unlimited, although u will not be charged it just shuts off). And my phone worked just as good as my counter parts with ATT phones.

That takes some serious balls, sir. I wish I had the courage to do so. At this point I'm completely torn over whether to cancel. While shipping seems so damn close, it's just so far away. I wish Apple would be a little more concrete with shipping times, especially for people who have had their order placed 11 days ago.

To be honest i can live with my 5 for a while longer, i just don't like buying goods when they just say dispatching Oct & not even a date.

I decided i will keep my money & use it for something i can get a delivery date on :D

I'll trade you your 5 for my blackberry....if I can live with this garbage, you can live with your 5

It kills me that you all know there is a holiday with UPS where the shipments are coming from, and you guys still expect to see movement on the packages..that aren't in the. US yet..-.- Friday they will begin working again calm down

You're absolutely right. All I'm doing right now is rewarding poor customer service. However I need the phone, and this was the best option. Recently I started to look into local Apple Stores, but they obviously did not have any Gold phones. Will definitely give Apple a piece of my mind, when that phone arrives. Having to wait almost three weeks for a phone (when it was ordered on launch weekend) is absolutely ridiculous. They better have learned something from this launch.

You will definitely have your phone by the 4th (unless weather delays your flight, etc). My phone was shipped Friday and passed through Korea to Louisville by Monday, and was delivered to me today (UPS expected delivery). Your phone will zoom threw the globe within the next 24hrs.

Yup. Just checked. It left Korea and is on its way here.

Has your phone been delivered to you yet?

Good to know! Thanks!

They only thing they will have learned is people will wait as long as they make them as they play the supply & demand game. They know if they make the supply short there will be more demand. :D it's human nature to want something you cant get !

unless you are like me i am voting with my feet, not that one person cancelling a phone order will make the slightest bit of difference !:(

They are! Holiday for ups resumes the 4th.

That's all cool and stuff but this is not affected and they are up and running. There's a reason stuff is still shipping daily. Magic gnomes aren't moving the packages. It's UPS. Once again Apple is aware UPS is having issues. Phones are getting lost. They completely understood the problem because they're dealing with others.

Maybe that's because some of us were told that the Holiday wouldn't affect any shipments...?

Some of us have a deadline of the 15th to activitate the new phone and get the old phone in the mail. So, yes, I am little anxious about when UPS bothers to get us out of this "Preparing for Shipment" status.

Honestly I would be surprised if there wasn't any gamesmanship going on. To some degree Apple has been playing the supply and demand game. It's just surprising that on one hand, the physical Store employees heavily encourage everyone to order online. However, it appears to be more likely that the physical Stores are the first to receive stock. I don't know what game they're playing, but I'll definitely give them an earful for it.

Deadline ? I thought you can active whenever you get the phone?. Unless it's a new plan
