7+ Jet Black (128/256) Date Change Thread

So, I just got mine moved from 9/26 to 9/17. The first thing the chat rep said to me was that she couldn't do it because it was purchased as an upgrade. They can't change those. She had the wrong order up, I paid for my phone with a credit card. Once she pulled up the correct order, she immediately said it was possible to expedite shipping, and she did so.
So there is what appears to be the answer. If you're on the Upgrade program you can't change the shipping.

Chat wouldn't let me expedite my order, suggested I call 1800MYAPPLE. I asked why some people were able to get it expedited and I can't their response was:

So, with the current lead times for the iPhone 7 release, there will be absolutely no need to pay for the faster shipping method. We will automatically ensure that your order is shipped the fastest available method, to get you your device as quickly as possible! If people are paying for expedited shipping it is not going to do anything. You are free to check by calling in to see if they have any other options over the phone though.

They said that that's the best they can do. My order went in little later than yours. So I guess that's what it is. I think I exhausted all options. Now waiting begins. Funny thing is that I ordered my wife's MB 7 at 2.40 and she is getting on day one.
It seems that the people that were able to move one shipping group earlier (not "expedited" shipping) all have the 128GB model? Any 256GB moved ahead to 9/17? I think they are simply moving your estimated ship date forward as there are more 128 models available?

I went through chat and they refered me to 1800MYAPPLE. After being on hold for 50 minutes the guy said that he is not able to expedite the order because they are already taken care of as quick as possible and that they were given notes to not to do so. He also said that anyone who did get their orders expedited made a bad choice because it actually slows the process down. He said if my original date was Sept 26-Oct 3 then trying to expedite the order would actually further delay the order to sometime later in October. Im not sure how much truth there is to that. This is for the 128GB Plus
Chat specialist told me the same for my JB 7+ 128GB and I am in the Sep 26-Oct 3 grouping...thought about calling but it's not worth the time judging by your post. This all confirmed my previous thoughts.
Being patient is so hard. We will get rewarded for it though!

They're onto us haha. I don't believe that it would've further delayed the process, but I do believe is that it is not going to get to us any quicker. He did also mention that anyone who did get their shipping date pushed up will see that it will be arriving at their original quoted time, if their order hasnt been delayed further.
I'm not losing hope for a Friday delivery just yet.
No luck.. I have to stick with 9/22 to 9/29.

Chatted with apple reps and got my 7+ 128gb, jet black expedited from 10/18 to 9/13.

Slows the process down? Seems like he's speaking out of his ass. The order is reprocessed in the system. Seems like getting an intelligent Apple rep is like winning a lottery lol

My order is still 10/4... This is the first time ever that I didn't make the first iPhone batch. Stupid app didn't go live until 3:04 and when I was ordering, it was 9/26 and it froze on me. So I had to leave my iPad and used my iPhone. By then it was 10/4. Ffffffffffffff

I usually order through the website or AT&T. The Apple store app didn't open at first then it froze during my check out. Email 2:14 central.
Jet Black Plus 128 10/4 date. It said 9/26 before it froze.
Also got a canned statement from support about "due to the lead time on your order, we are already getting it to you the fastest way possible, and there is absolutely no reason for expedited shipping." Seems like a manager somewhere up the chain caught on and decided they were losing money somehow on all the expedited shipping.
Honestly though, I actually believe them - I doubt it would make any difference one way or the other.
