All of this arguing over whether or not expedited shipping is possible reminds me of this.

It's not even an argument. It's basically people in denial because they didn't get theirs upgraded

Sounds like you need to grow up and are acting like a spoiled child. You crossed a line with the bastards comment. Veronica Wants her iPhone now. We're just stating fact all pre orders are shipped express.
We all want our iPhones now! !95 just Veronica. And the fact that most of us were able to expedite
Except you're wrong because my shipping was pushed up earlier after requesting it yday

Yes there is

Hey man, sounds like you're just bitter. But I got my shipment expedited yesterday. You just need the right rep.

Question did u have originally 9/26-10/3?

I had 9/26-10/3 rep pushed mines to 9/22-9/29 but that date is way better than mines

Expedite away!

Let them learn the hard way. Let them keep calling and sometimes paying more for the shipment that is Next Day Air anyways. It makes them feel like they are doing something.
Lol that is true. Don't know why everyone don't understand that.

I'm not going to do anything to "try" and expedite mine. I'm sure we will have plenty of people on here get their date moved up without calling or paying extra.

I went through the foolishness of trying to renew the AUP first and discovered everything sold out immediately, so I didn't decide to change course and get my order in for the full price Jet Black 7+ 128GB until 12:37am, and I got a date of "November". Not even a day...just November. Sad face.

That makes two of us
[doublepost=1473616283][/doublepost]Showing as November. I was very indecisive and as a result I got November delivery date. I don't mind that much. I doubt I will actually have to wait until November, in years past usually by mid-October I can walk into an Apple Store and freely purchase the new iPhone I want.

How ? Just call them ? Assuming is extra charge for shipping right ? At this point I don't even want to call them , with my luck they probably mess my order up but I am tempted.

Did you call them up and asked for next day delivery?

Asked for expedited shipping. Took multiple attempts in chat. Not all reps know/want to do it. Keep at it. No extra charge.

My deets: 128 GB Jet Black Plus - 12:11 AM PDT - Oct 4-10.

Still hoping that window is conservative and it comes closer to launch day.

For those of you that are calling, are you guys paying for expedited shipping or are they comping you?

Every single iPhone pre-order that I've done for the past several years have shown up as Next Day Air. I've never asked or paid for expedited shipping. In addition, the estimated dates are not the actual dates. One year they over promised and under delivered, and after learning from that experience, they always under promise now. A vast majority will get it before the estimated delivery dates. This has been well documented over the past few years. The estimated dates mean nothing till it actually ships. Even then, there have been cases where phones go from preparing to ship to delivered in one day. People are using the estimated as the holy gospel. And yet again this year, people will be surprised when theirs arrives earlier (or later.)

There's no reason to argue. The veterans all agree on this point. One can choose to believe it or not.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm pretty sure we will beat the October date. I'm more interested in replacing my 2012 rMBP though. I'm still holding out some hope for the new 2016 rMBP pre-orders in October!

100% true. I've gone through all pre-orders, except the very first iPhone, and that is how it always works. There is no faster shipping than what you get automatically.

I am almost in the same boat as you...waiting on my new iPhone in the 26-4 wave and hoping for an announcement that will let me replace my 2011 non-retina MBP...somehow, this computer still works...but it's time for a change.

This thread is funny. I second the guy who commented recently and said let each side have their way and beliefs.

For me I'm on the side of those who don't believe in expedited shipping as all orders are expedited anyway but I won't hold any "beef" with those who believe otherwise - whatever floats your boat. In a months time (at least for those with delivery dates up till mid October we will forget about this - probably after one side floats they were right!)

For those who think their phones are expedited what part of the process is expedited?

Here is a general overview of the shipping process (not fact just from memory and what I've read in here in the past)

Phones ship from China to the US - you can't expedite any part of this process

Phones get to Alaska and go through Customs - again nothing can be expedited here

From Alaska they go to the big hubs - Tennessee for FedEx, Kentucky for UPS (correct me if I am wrong here)

From the big hubs to your local hub and subsequently to you - at this point all phones get shipped next day air (IIRC)

I looked up my 6 and 6 plus shipping histories and this is the general idea of what happened.

Again I'm not stating this as fact and I'm open to any corrections. My shipping estimates are Oct 4-10 (7+ JB 128gb) and I'm fine with that - if it gets here early fine. If not, fine.

It's so funny same crap every year. Can't help but wonder if it's the same people. I should go back and look. Pay all you want if you get it sooner then god bless.

The same thing happened with the watch last year. Apple under promised on delivery, but people got it well before their estimated dates.

Yes! I'm on my 2012 rMBP and while she and I have had some good times, I'm definitely due for an upgrade.

I had a custom order in 2012 for 16 GB RAM. Now that was a long wait for my rig to ship from China via Alaska to the US. I admittedly lost some sleep waiting for that baby. So I know what the new rabid iPhone users are going through for the 7 now, but spending time and energy doesn't always net results in this case. It's best just to wait and enjoy the ride. I remember all the rabid Apple Watch customers waiting last year as well. I got mine day one and started a post saying the watch was not going to change anyone's life. I quickly got flamed and the thread closed. Lol good times.

So I followed the lead of others in this thread and I called Apple and I waited for about 45 minutes on hold and actually fell asleep while I was holding and then when I got to a representative I was able to get my my shipping date updated from 9/26-10/3 to 9-17 to 9/24. My order is for the 128 gig iPhone 7 Plus jet black. Oh and there was absolutely no charge for the expedited shipping , all I did was just make a phone call, thank you Apple !!!!

I personally don't believe there's any expedited shipping what I think is happening is they are just able to move up the delivery date because they overestimated the initial delivery date so I don't believe there's any expedited shipping because they come from China and have to go through customs etc. but I do believe they overestimated the initial data I'm just able to move my order to a batch that's shipping sooner

How did you go about asking?

Thanks man ! I called and they went ahead and changed it for me . Good looking out !

They also told me there wasn't a charge when they change my delivery options. I told them if I had to pay extra that I wanted leave it as it, don't want to pay extra just to get my phone a week before you know.... no charge, I'll take it.

That's my favorite part of pre-order season. None of my friends pre-order their tech so there's nobody to commiserate with. I could do without the flaming and the arguing, but everyone handles their emotions differently. C'est la vie.

Just called Apple I think I might have solved a part of this puzzle. Everyone who is able to upgrade their shipping: how did you buy the phone? iPhone Upgrade Program, AT&T Next, outright, etc.?
