Everyone? Evidence? Are you really basing a statement like that on this Internet forum? Dude, look at how many iPhone X's are being sold, and then come back here and tell em that people on this forum who are returning X's are any real indication. You guys are delusional.

Every post you have done on this site is defending the X in some way or another and bashing the 8's. You saw the huge topic of people returning it, I don't need to say any more.

So far the 8 plus is looking to be the better phone and why people are returning the X's.

I thought it was crazy for Apple to release iPhone 8/8 plus and then release what in my mind was the better phone in the X only a month or so later. But threads like this are good to read as it shows there’s still a market for the 8/8 plus based on others preferences.

Here's a thought: Let's all agree that both the iPhone 8/8Plus and the X have their respective upsides and downsides. Everyone has a personal preference and that is the way itAnd that all of them are good for Apple as a company, and in turn, us as consumers?

Why is it that seemingly overnight that iPhone users are turning against each other on a Mac forum?

The iphone 8 Plus is the most solid iphone ever made. 4th iteration of its form factor.

The X on the other hand is first gen and is suffering from all the problems that go with first gen forms.

Maybe next year will be different. But in the meantime, Apple sincerely thanks all their guinea pigs who bought the X.

I love both my iPhone 8 Plus and my iPhone X. I have compared them side-to-side for a few days now.

They both have upsides and downsides. I will have to sell one of the 2 at some point (well, I don't have to, but it kinda doesn't make sense to have such an expensive phone sitting in a drawer).

For now, the only thing I'm missing on the iPhone X is screen width. And maybe a tad of battery life - but I never went below 50% on my 8 Plus by the end of the day, and even on the X I don't get below 30%. So both do the job.

For everything else, well, I love having the "latest and greatest". So for now I assume I'll be keeping the iPhone X. Although I absolutely love the 8 Plus as well.

I went into a 3 carrier stores today and spoke to 3 different people... They all said they had between 4-6 X returns in that day. Mostly due to size and frustration from using the new UI/gestures. I laughed and then explained why the X isn't good in 5 minutes. The one person told me "Man I was thinking of upgrading from my 7 Plus but you just un-sold me in 5 minutes."

Okay okay, we all know your 8 Plus is definitely the best phone that ever existed, now can’t we all just enjoy what we’ve bought?

On a personal note, the X for me has been absolutely fantastic. Came from a 7 Plus, love the form factor; battery, screen, camera are all brilliant. The 8 Plus is also a very good, but a quite different phone.

I will add though, having gotten used to the X form factor over the last few weeks (Simulator / launch day) - the Plus form factor feels pretty archaic compared. Almost feels strange to have a home button.

Not a criticism, just an observation

Agree. I will never buy 1st gen Apple product again. I got burned with the iPad 3 and iPhone 6.

iPad 3 was refreshed a couple of months later, with something much better. The third-generation iPad had the shortest lifespan of any iOS product. Discontinued after 7 months.

The iPhone 6 was also a 1st gen device and was underpowered from the start with 1GB of RAM.

I’m returning my X for an 8+.. main reason? The screen, I can’t look at the PWM dimmed OLED screen (it’s 2018 Apple!), my eyes literally go crazy

Yup I had it for 4 days and I had a migraine for 4 days. Went to my Plus and it's gone... I may try a Note 8 but it worries me because it also is OLED.

Unfortunately I can’t leave iOS, I’m really enjoying the iCloud integration with my MacBook.
The only choice is the 8+ 256

I would agree with some of this. I would say the iPhone 8 is as good as it can get, especially being after four years of consistent improvements and enhancements. It's one of those phones that's a failsafe that you can't go wrong with assuming you like all the features.

As for the iPhone X, yes it is a first generation iPhone that will continue to improve. But I would definitely say there's more positives than there are negatives.

Which phone do you own? Just curious :)

As someone who owns an 8 Plus and an iPhone X, I can tell you I haven’t touched my 8 Plus since I got the X.

I honestly don’t get the point of some of these threads. It seems no one understands the fact that not one phone will meet everyone’s needs. It doesn’t mean that one is objectively better than the other. It’s all subjective. No one will ever be right.

The point of some of these threads is that some plus owners can't handle the fact that their status as the flagship iPhone has been de-throned, and so even those who don't own an X feel the need to repeat what they hear on forums and read elsewhere. Some of the impatient ones are also suffering buyers remorse because they couldn't wait to get their hands on the "then" latest and greatest, but then realised they would lose a load of money by switching.

Funny though, because a lot of people bash the X for several things but say an X plus would be the perfect device. Really? So the notch and tall aspect ratio would be all fine if the overall size was bigger? Hmm.....

I was in 3 carrier stores today and they told me they had a handful of people returning the X every day because 1) it was too small 2) they were frustrated with all the gestures and bad UI/UX.

Might want to see a eye doctor, no issues here. Screen is light years ahead of my old iphone 6 :)

No need to see a doctor because I'm not stupid. I know how technology works and a flickering screen at a certain frequency aka hertz to control brightness is exactly why people are getting headaches and eye pain. Look up flicker free technology and educate yourself. :)

Keep living in your fantasy land.. The iphone 8 has been dethroned and the Iphone X IS KING. It is Apple's flagship phone, so have fun enjoying an outdated OLD phone while the rest of us stay with the times.

Bet you switch from that 8 again LOL
