This is simple rationale, and I think it can be boiled down to this...
Apple never lowers prices in the store (unless its closeout, and then rarely) for an item. The iMac comes out at a set price, and it didn't get reduced until a new product came out. This is highly unusual for Apple to do, and I admit, as a buyer on June 29, I am disappointed. I didn't expect a price drop, as much as I expected a 16GB model to take the place of the 8GB model by now.
I would like to see Apple do something, or at least AT&T. This is unreal, and is a cause of frustration for many buyers. 1 Million of them.
