By the way, you should get "Crystal" from the App Store. It's only about 79p and it gets rid of all of the irritating ads from websites. Makes them load much, much faster. Also saves on data, if you're using it on cellular.

Haha. Cheers! Never owned a Spectrum (born in '84). Had one of those Amstrad computers though where you loaded the games via a cassette. Seems like yesterday, not nearly 30 years ago!

Went for the iPad Pro, 32GB, WiFi and Cellular in Rose Gold. Thanks for the heads up re: the Ad Blocker. Have downloaded/installed now and works a treat.

Must admit I am enjoying watching old episodes of Top of the Pops... Wish they would bring it back.

Bored of waiting now. But on the bright side I was able to write down some apps that I'll download as soon as I actually have my iPad. So, thanks for that everyone :)
 
Picked up 2nd iPad Pro 9.7 today. Drove 40 miles back home. Switched it on. Large dead pixel cluster. First one chipped screen - ordered online. Back 40 miles again. Third time lucky. This one seems OK so far. Always a farce with new Apple kit.
 
Looks like white :apple: boxes would be popping across the capital this week; enjoy your new shiny pads all:). My next unboxing is slated for September hopefully. Air 2 is still doing the trick so no unboxing this spring!

And yes, I bought the pencil yesterday at Argos (£5 voucher and £7.90 cashback sounded too good to pass up :D) I can not wait to try it out.
How's your iPad treating you?

Today is, hopefully, the last day I have to wait for my iPad. According to DPD it has arrived at my local depot.
Now I'm just waiting for the out for delivery update and my time slot.
This wait felt like a month. Not good for an impatient person like me haha

As its DPD delivering today I have no doubt your delivery will go without a hitch and you will be using your new shiny sexy iPad Pro before you know it.

Same situation for me, also DPD again.

I'm struggling to be excited until I check the screen over for defects. I don't feel lucky!

Poor girlfriend is house bound again until it comes, or I get back from work.

I have more faith in DPD than Uk mail, but like you I won't be able to be excited until I have it in my hands and the screen and camera are perfect. I'd hate having to send it back. Fingers crossed for the both of us and I hope yours comes early , so your girlfriend doesn't have to stay in the house all day.
Do you know around what time we can expect to get our time slots from DPD? So far, I've heard nothing, but sort of expected a text/email by now.

You wont know the delivery slot until about 8 - 9am
This is after the van is loaded and the route is run using the 'Predict' software that DPD uses which then generates the 1hr delivery window :)

Or that parcel tracking app some of us were using for the launch day deliveries would show the 1hr window as soon as your tracking updates from DPD.

With my first iPad, I got the DPD alert about 11:15, for delivery about 14:00. There were no issues at all, and being able to follow the van as it drives about the city is such a superb feature. Just not a vast amount of notice.

I have no idea but I guess they load up for an AM slot, drive about (dropping off to Macrumours forum members addresses last), then go back for a reload.

Fingers crossed for us both!

I reckon you'll receive it early, as it's not launch day so there won't be as many going out.

Make sure you show off some of your drawings ... I'd love to see them, no matter "how good" you consider them to be :).

I read somewhere on here that some people only got the text/email a couple hours before their slot, maybe that's the reason why you haven't gotten a text yet?! Either way, my fingers are still crossed for you.
