Well "the other" iPad Pro has just been collected by UPS for return to Apple, so I'm all set.

I hope everyone else manages to sort out their orders.

I only found out yesterday that you can now return online orders to Apple Stores, for refund or exchange.

This may be more convenient for some people?
 
so I'm still waiting, apparently ukmail are coming back to redeliver tonight and they have my phone number but i'm not positive. might have to go on a trip tomorrow morning to their depot an hour away because i just can't see them being capable of delivering this

I really hope that apple are compensating you for this in any way. This is ridiculous.

My iPad replacement is still on preparing for dispatch. What a joke.

4 days of my life wasted, no food in the cupboards its actually getting beyond a joke now. How could i request compensation? They haven't offered anything

Oh! I wish I'd known that!

My girlfriend (bless her) had to walk past the Apple Store here in Edinburgh to get to the UPS drop off point!

(And then the UPS drop off point wouldn't give her a receipt even after she asked for one "we don't do that"... which meant I had to contact Apple again to verify the drop off had worked and she hadn't been scammed by a random person in a newsagents.).

Still, at least I know for when this one turns out to be a dud o_O

I would definitely call them and complain the hell out of it. Surely they can throw in some free accessories or something?!

UPS is seen as the top firm, but I don't think they are.

They don't even give a receipt when they collect something!

No word of a lie, I recoded video footage when I handed over the two larger iPad Pros with dead pixels to the UPS driver last year!

I'm not taking that much of a risk!

At the end of the day, you can't fully trust anyone ...

Guy on phone who arranged the return / replacement yesterday -
"We'll send the replacement out as soon as your return gets scanned at the drop off point"

Guy on Apple support chat today as I verified with them the drop off point scan -
"We'll send the replacement out as soon as we have the returned iPad, it should be with us by Monday"

The replacement is on my order page sitting at Processing / delivers 4th. I'd like to believe that.
 
ukmail have said that they've tried calling their driver and left voicemails but his phone is off. He might still deliver tonight but if not i have been upgraded to saturday delivery LOL. We will see if they can finally find my address.

My apple manager I'm in contact with will be out of office until monday but said she cannot discuss compensation until my items are delivered

Ps. She also said their couriers only deliver Monday to Friday. Obviously that's a lie. Someone on here said they got some orders on Saturdays.

Initial review:

1. Very impressed with the four speakers. The difference over the Air 2 is astounding. I currently watch the 35 year old repeats of Top of the Pops on iPlayer. There's a performance of You Might Need Somebody by Randy Crawford. On iPad Pro it's almost like being in the audience at the time it was originally filmed!

2. Like the True Tone display. Subtly changes without being overly obvious it's adapted to the light conditions.

3. Insanely fast. My Air 2 was no slouch but from app launching to downloading/installing it's much better.

4. Coming from 128GB to 32GB I should have enough storage but if your finances allow I'd go "mid-range" as I can see myself having to decide which music I want to sync from iTunes whereas before I didn't really worry.
 
love the fact it has 4 speakers instead of 2 but the pad resonates a lot more esp when your playing games like breakneck . Still don't understand how true tone works but has a nice crisp display . BTW the pad is compatible with all screen protectors designed for ipad airs without affecting the pencil's sensitivity .
Only moan I have is that my keyboard accessory seems to not register the space bar key for some reason and i have to clip it on and off sometimes to reset it
 
My apple keyboard case has despatched earlier than expected which is good news but presumed they would just post through the door at home but now says needs a signature. Hope it's not UK Mail...
