True,

Though in past leaks of other products, it has proven to be easier to get a hold of partial devices than complete units. I would suspect that full laptops would be more closely guarded. Either way, it is an interesting picture.

I am clinging to this just so you know :)

can anyone compare it to the present MBPs?no more plastic on the edge,if it's real, right?MBA chiclet keys?anything else different?thinner?thicker?
it actually looks thinner than the real MBP shown lower on that page..
it's not a Macbook because of the speakers,it should actually be a 17",or 16/18 if Apple changes standards..

We are not living in the past so i hope its HDMI.
..%5Cimages%5Cproducts%5CC%5Ccbl-hdmi-dvi.jpg

Thats HDMI next to normal DVI.

That was my first thought as well, but I checked size and it seems while HDMI looks tiny compared to normal DVI, it's only about 1/6th narrower than standard USB (and I'm talking about type C, "mini HDMI"). So unless Apple somehow made a micro port... unlikely.

I think it's too small to be HDMI or Mini/microDVI. I don't see a fullsize DVI port or a magsafe port, either. Or Expresscard/34.

Port shuffle?

Can anyone enhance the image?

There are clearly symbols beside each port. The headphones and USB pictures are clearly identifiable.

Look towards the left side. The joint can be clearly seen.

It looks like they are utilising the aluminium keyboards… ;)

While I am not familiar with the MBP without a keyboard this looks very much like the "flat" or "chicklet" key structure found on the MB and Air.

At first I thought that it was a joint as well, but perhaps it's a single piece, but the edge is slightly rounded, maybe to avoid cutting people's wrists like the MBA? It's plausible that the "thickness of the edge" is just the radius of the curve with the light hitting it at an odd angle.

You really don't even have to look that far, to me it's very clear from top to bottom along the edge. That's not a 'bend' that's a clear seam.

If you click on it you will see the full size and it appears to have the video out signal you would see on the DVI .

One thing to think about though, if they took the time to get a nice 'angle' shot why aren't there more shots. I mean if I got the inside scoop on a product, certainly I wouldn't have set it up to take a nice image on a white terry cloth, and ONLY take a limited shot. I would at least try to take it to an elevator and get as many shots as possible :D. But seriously, I can navigate that website (the one mentioned) so I can't see if there are more.

I'm not going to put much into this picture other than, "I'll believe it when I see it for sale"

I wonder what Apple cooked up for that.

This is something I brought up in another thread. Who says Apple cooked up anything? This isn't even confirmed. This could be photoshopped for all we know yet already we're assuming it's real?

Wow time to leave this thread.

The icons of the ports reveal that this case version is thinner than the previous ones, as with the previous ones the icons appeared more ABOVE the ports... Also the headphone jack connector has metal rings instead of plastic..
Also mention the left port being huge; I assumed it would be the magsafe, but looks too large to me

Seems real. And another vote here for a protection film. It's impossible to be a MacBook to that one who suggested the idea. It's impossible because that has to be bigger than a 13.3 because it has grills on the side.

I thought it looked like the video out. It just doesn't seem to be as clear as the USB and Headphone symbols. Is it a white terry cloth or a piece of styrofoam? I just assumed it was the latter.

Does it look like a photoshop? I am not say it isn't, but it looks very real to me.

I believe it's styrofoam, and looks as if it's (I know I'm going out there with this) but it looks like it's in a box, with one flap open, hence the shadow across half the case.

For all those wondering what the small port is. I don't know. But I did notice this.

The picture crop out the corner of the case. That far left port isn't shown in its entirety. It could be a much wider port than what we're seeing. Just look at where the corner WOULD be formed. It's also definitely a tall port.

Just my observation.

I've worked with metal before and I can say it does NOT look like a solid piece of alum. You can see the thickness of the side piece clear as day.

That line you see is where the protective film meets the aluminum. What does working with metal have to do with anything? I've welded cars together, so therefore I can tell you this macbook case is solid! What?

I think the "obvious seam" could just be where the plastic protective cover ends and we are seeing bare material on the top plane. I don't know if the picture is photoshopped, etc... but that's my take on the visual information.

Just been browsing the site (source) the OP posted and i'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is what were all expecting to come. I'd like to know when though as I could really do with a new notebook.

Long!!!! time lurker, first time poster (since mini G4) please don't flame me.

The case is much thinner and the grill (between the keys) looks to me much more solid and a tad thicker than the current MBP's

All the usual stuff
Line
Headphones
USB x2
Ethernet
+ 1 Suspicious Port (too fat for Magsafe)

SM/:eek:

I think the thick one is DVI-I. I know AppleInsider said it wouldn't be there, but I really can't see them dropping 30in monitor support. IMO, going left to right: DVI-I, FW800, dual USB, tiny mystery, audio.
