Calm down. Every time a slightly positive bit of news comes out, you announce that it's about to happen right now for sure!!!!!!!!! And every bit of neutral-to-negative news that comes out, you announce that it will never ever happen.

The only one of these progress updates that's actually offered a solid piece of information as far as the timeline goes is the tweet saying "with luck" within the week, and even that carried a heavy qualifier. None of the rest have meant that it will happen any faster or slower.

It's fine to post the updates (although you should really learn to put direct quotes in quotation marks or italicized), but you need to calm down a little with your wild interpretations of each one.

It's easy to be excited about something that's not yet concrete (iPad3 anyone?) but you're going to end up being disappointed and shut down if you're building your hopes up so high.

Just enjoy your A5 as it is as the moment and when it eventually does come along, then you can be as excited till your hearts content.

Search through four pages of an "old thread"?? The thread is hardly old, and all a member has to do is go to the last page or two for the latest in updates. No searching needed.

I too believe a new thread doesn't need to be created every time there's an update. Just put it in the already created "A5 Jailbreak Progress" thread....

I get all the tweets and read any updates on the greenpois0n website, but I would have to agree with the rest of the folks posting on here. No need to start a new thread on this. Just add to the old one. Once the jb is out, then I could see the need for a new thread.

You don't have to be a jerk about it by throwing unnecessary foul language. Doing as "you wish" could get you banned or warned by the mods. Tread carefully.

I think it's clear none of us has accused you of not providing input or benefit, or even suggested there is lack of respect. But I might add that respect has to be earned -- have you been here long enough to earn that respect?? And if you are sick of people not respecting you, then you could just as easily not post the new threads as well.

Many in this particular thread, myself included, have simply expressed how you could "better" benefit the forum by not posting a new thread every time there's a little bit of news made public.

The "old" thread you referred to was created by you a mere 5 days ago. That thread is just fine for posting A5 jailbreak updates. Maintaining and adding more input to the very thread you started goes a long way to earning that respect you mentioned.

Right now I am regretting updating my iPad 2 to 5.0.1 and not just because there might be a longer delay in the jailbreak. I updated late last night and when I was leaving for work this morning, I noticed I saw nothing in settings for me to enable 3G. I don't have WiFi access at work, so it looks like I will be stuck on Edge until I get home from work. Ugh! Looks like I might be testing whether TinyCFW will work for me in restoring to 4.3.3.

Were you able to get your 3G setting enabled? Did you end up restoring using TinyCFW?
