That video was cool enough to get a five-star rating out of me...haha. Man I didn't expect that, I'm gonna have to listen through my headphones now...awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing!

hope to get the "after" video on friday or saturday. car will have much more power and be a whole lot louder 😀

I don't why some people rave about the video quality and think they can use it as a camcorder. Come on, the quality is atrocious for use as a camcorder. I read a review of the 3GS's video capabilities on a camcorder website. WTF? They moaned that it did not have a tripod bush.

I don't think enough people see it for what it is.

Don't waste your kid's childhood recording memories with the 3GS. Get a proper camcorder.

Saying that though, for a phone the quality is not bad from what I have seen.

It's going to be great for capturing spontaneous things and for that it's probably worth every penny for the upgrade but in 20 or 30 years time do you really want to see shaky 640x480 videos of your kids?

Yes. The format doesn't matter. Many people's childhood is on silent 8mm film and people still watch it. It's the memories not the quality of the recording medium that matter.

here is a clip using my iPhone 3Gs and uploaded straight to youtube via the phone, however the quality isn't as good as whats on my phone.

alittle dissapointing, i'd say.

Is there any reason for this.... is it better to take the clip off via a pc and load it from there??

Yes, the reason is b/c the phone is compressing it for upload over the network. You will get better results transmitting from your computer.

i am just so ridiculously impressed with the video quality on the iphone 3gs. I still have the 3g, but it's almost tempting enough to force me to plunge into the 3gs....

must... resist... temptation....

Roll out!

Bunch of the cars from Transformers and a life-sized Bumblebee are on display at Paramount Pictures. Shot some video and edited in iMovie. See it below and you can also download the original for comparison.
